The £102m net debt according to the last set of accounts might have something to do with it.  Albeit that was May 2014, this years will be interesting due at the end of Feb aren't they.

Wasn't all the debt written off by Mr Burns?

If memory serves correctly that was after he converted the £90m from debt to equity as well.

Well he might as well set fire to the loan notes because he's not going to make a penny from this club, it's all down the pan. Actually whilst he's at it he might as jump on top of the fire too.

I think a lack of a coherent defence until Lescott and Okore came together too, and Richards and Hutton being played week in week out, on top of the Amavi injury. The kick in the nads was Okore and Lescott not being able to play games in quick succession, so having to sit out of the game at Norwich and then only 1 coming back in at Sunderland. If it were next week, I am fairly confident Garde would pick them together for the Sunderland away fixture. Couple that with the loss of Snachez in the West Ham game, causing their goal but also being a huge factor in our instability in the next 2, it was a very unfortunate learning period.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting us to go out and spend silly money bearing in mind where we are but I expected us to bring a couple in at least. Him speaking to Doumbia does sound at least like they tried to back him but he obviously chose to go elsewhere. The other one in Debuchy does sound like a financial thing. He mentions 'two players' so I presume those are the two he wanted. Whether he gave them a back up list is anyone's guess but he doesn't come across as someone who would just buy anyone. All in all, very disappointing but not surprising.

When you take over a club on the back of so many defeats, a number of new players from another country trying to bed in against the backdrop of a manager who didn't want them, throw in all of the things you mention just made the situation that much more difficult to deal with. It's no wonder we went backwards before we started to show some signs of forward momentum. Add dressing room dissent from established players like Gabby, players who should have been helping rather than hindering. Chaos is a good way of putting it.

There has been lots alluded to about Gabby - what exactly is it he has supposedly done / not done?

The problem is now without any new players to give a bit of a spike of optimism the remainder of the season is just going to be a series of games where we're waiting to be put out of our misery. It's going to be fucking horrible and there hasn't been much indication of hope beyond this season.

We are going to get Odemwingie, I can feel it. It makes sense - we are desperate and he knows the area

I also read this morning Lambert saying he's got more money at Blackburn then he had here.

So just more for him to waste on shit then.

How is that even possible? Them having more money?

how does he even fucking know? He's a bullshitter of the highest order.

Not surprising is it?  It's an easy narrative for McLeish, Lambert and Sherwood to now feed the gullible press.  If anything they can spin it to show themselves in a positive light (look where they are now, I did a good job to keep them up in the circumstances etc).

Its sad. Like we hardly exist anymore. Years of terrible decisions results in todays complete inactivity.

I've got sympathy for Garde and  he's getting respect I think from supporters because he's having to deal with a complete shit sandwich.

We're a good day out for opposition fans and a cushty pay day for nothing footballers. Apart from that, currently, what is the point to us?

Remi just said Deals weren't completed because of "financial reasons" and spoke about past mistakes. He cut a very frustrated figure.
