Time to throw a bit of money at the problem I think. They all have their price.

Again, I don't understand all the Gabby bashing. Yes, he's not doing it at the mo, but why all the personal abuse, he is a local Villa fan who scored a winner at the Sty. Am I missing something...?

I still believe if adebayor had come on board in the summer we wouldn't  be in the bottom three. The mad mumbo jumbo worshipping nutter.

I agree. I reckon Sherwood would still be in a job as well.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Palace. No doubting his class on his day.

Most likely. I think we would have won the Sunderland home game, probably Swansea too, and then nicked a couple of others and be up around 21-22 points now.

Mame Diouf anyone? Didn't make the Stoke 18 tonight and if Crouch is ahead of him in the pecking order now I'd say he'd be available for loan.

12 league goals last season and has pace, should be in if he's available.

There's a lot retrospective 20/20 vision on here. I seem to recall a huge sigh of relief when it was revealed Adebayor wasn't coming? Anyway if my aunt had balls etc etc.

We are where we are folks.

I would say that was based on the naive assumption we had another option , we didn't and suffered the consequences

His form over the past five seasons perhaps?

Yep, you're taking being a Villa fan (although one who never actually went to games, according to himself) and scoring a winner at the Sty as being sufficient mitigating factors for him contributing the square root of fuck all for several seasons now, whilst looking fat and unbothered.

Not having a go at you, but I always find that "but he's a villa fan! he's a legend!" stuff so small time.

So fucking what if he's a Villa fan? Is that enough? Of course it isn't.

The fact that it has actually been seen as enough for the last five years says everything you need to know about our half-witted acceptance of mediocrity.

There are few things which would make me respect Garde more than him punting Agbonlahor out this summer.

Not really. Some people in the summer thought he would be a useful player to have, others didn't. Some people now think that Palace have made a good signing, others don't.

I'd guess that it'll be split along pretty similar lines to the summer.

Good shout, his mother died tragically some months back. May explain his loss of form in recent times. Regular football is something we can offer. The sight of Kozak, Sinclair, Gestede or Gabby leading the line this season has been depressing

So what has happened from Sunday and now that makes them think the permit would be granted?

Bit of a health warning due to the source of this but they say a second appeal is being considered. No idea whether that's even possible though.

You can apply for permission to appeal before a second appeal is heard.
