There is a slight chance that we might get CB back on loan for the reasons I outlined earlier today. They hate him at Liverpool and he probably hates them. To come back to us for three months is the most practical way to revive his career. I am sure his agent has given it serious thought. If he hasn't he is an idiot.  The possibility of it happening is slight but it is not "mental" or "deluded" to identify the possibility.

Can't we discuss Benteke coming back on loan here?

If nothing else, it makes me happy.

It's already being discussed in the 'Plans to Sleep With Mila Kunis' thread, on the grounds that they are equally as likely.
On the balance I would prefer Bennie boy to Mila however unlikely.

Me too, and I love Mila Kunis.

What....about Mila? She is overrated in my view.

More chance of getting that Doris in the scratcher than Benteke back to VP

If nothing else, it makes me happy.

I will play. After he saves us from relegation with a 15 goal haul, Lerner decides that we do need to spend to buy quality after all and he re signs permanently on the same deal Liverpool are paying him.

I like this discussion, it cheers me up as well :)

This is a great game.

Benteke returns like an Ancient Belgian warrior. Pledges his loyalty before kick off on his second home debut. Proceeds to bag a first half hat trick and a brace in the second and, in just 90 minutes become Villa's top scorer.

But then sadly you wake up and you need to change your sheets. That said it's a good dream. It beats having recurring nightmares about Grant Holt.

I really enjoyed Benteke's double hatrick in the 6-0 rout at Old Trafford in April to lift us to 16th

It'd never happen.

We wouldn't be able to afford his wages, he would be too proud to come back here, and if he were moving, he'd have plenty of offers.

Liverpool was definitely a bad move for him, though.

And he'll never displace Gestede.
