If Andre Ayew is really available from Swansea I would be in there.

He's essentially the same player as his brother though, not sure it would work.

What we don't want to do is sell him to save money and go into more of a tail spin than we are now. If we could get an experienced replacement with less mileage then ok.

I suppose an alternative could be to let him go but loan him back until the MSL season starts rather than just let him go without replacing. This would then get us halfway to the end of the season.

And why would Swansea sell their top scorer to a team who could catch up with them?

It's going to take a right nutter to join us right now anyway. Maybe Adebayor will get his message from god and turn up for his medical.

They sold Newcastle Shelvey.

Yeah but selling Shelvey makes Newcastle an even worse side.

And supposedly they've said they have no intention of selling Ayew to Sunderland.

Perhaps they are preparing for relegation. Any Italians running the club?

personally i would let lescott go

he wont be any good in the championship with the extra games and playing midweek

we need to start thinking long term for a change

Just breaking on Sky that LA Galaxy have offered Jolean Lescott a 3 year contract

According to Twitter, it's a £3m bid, rather than a contract offer.

How much did we pay for him?

No. He is ok but not a prolific scorer or anything special.

Agreed, I wouldn't have brought him in the first place and the fact he's fucking off shows his heart's not in it

I'd hang onto Lescott. I've had a vision of him scoring the winner against the stripeys late on at the Brummie road and celebrating like a loon much to their chagrin. If my Nostradamus moment is on the money he's worth much more than the fee we will get for him - 3 points invaluable, shutting those inbred twats up priceless...

If true buy him a dozen boxes of chewing gums and pack his bags.

Ha! This is the funniest thing I've read today! Please tell me this was said with tongue firmly in cheek.
