People want us to go out and by Sam Byram, Patrick Bamford on loan, ready for next season.
If you added the likes of Jordan Cousins, Jake Bissell next season we'd have a fighting chance.
We all agree that this squad of chancers ain't getting us out The Championship.
Typical player too good for Championship, not good enough for Premier is Liam Bridcutt.

Or say, Rudy Gestede. Or Ciaran Clark. Or Alan Hutton. Or Scott Sinclair.

I can see Sinclair scoring alot of goals in the championship.

Sinclair has no desire really does he, football was just a means to a goal of making money and now he has some he doesn't look like he's that interested. Not the kind of player we want in a fight, which next season it will be.
He strikes me as a player like David Bentley.
He's also one of those players who seems to be more interested in getting a perfect haircut than perfecting his game.
Fuck him off in the summer. He's a shyster.

Yep, complete lifestyle player. On his phone as soon as games are finished. Pretends to be a footballer, contributes barely anything in games we might as well toss a traffic cone on to the pitch and see what happens.

I would not touch any player that has been at one of the so called 'top' clubs. Most come with an over inflated opinion of themselves.

I'd still take a chance with Aguero though

Scouted Lars Reader again at the weekend according to reports in Portugal. Massive 22 year old German keeper. I am all for it on account of him being 1. Massive and 2. German. Both ideal qualities for a keeper.

It's the Peter Principle innit - players get the team promoted and are then not good enough to play in the level they've been promoted to.

Yup - apart from their strikers and goalkeeper, Watford bought pretty much an entire new team over the summer.

What about Norwich and Bournemouth (not checked, just curious if Peter's theory stacks up with them)?

BTSport on Twitter is saying Gabby is close to a move to Derby.

It's not on https://twitter.com/btsport or https://twitter.com/btsportfootball

It was last night/this morning. I can't see it now though, must have been taken down.

There is an authentic looking fake account for BT Sport that has been tweeting crap about Villa recently. BT SPORT HD or something.  Might have been that one.

And 3, he's not Brad Guzan

Ayala and Clayton from Middlesbrough, granted they're going up but even at our worst and them at their best were still a much bigger draw, Hughes from Derby, Armstrong from Newcastle.... 4 players who would instantly improve our first team in yhe championship and be ready for the premier league if we go up, I'd take Walters though for a couple of seasons too.

Walters is a great pro and a leader, gives it 100% every time.

But he is signed up with Stoke til 2018, he wont want to drop down - http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/jonathan-walters-signs-new-stoke-contract-tying-him-to-club-until-summer-of-2018-34178939.html

not sure how accurate the list below is but we should be targeting players out of contract in 2016/17 with promotion bonuses - http://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/endendevertraege/wettbewerb/GB1/plus/?jahr=2016

Leon Osman would be a very solid character for us, Jedinak, Wilson, Flamini, Gibson, Fletcher, Gayle, Crouch all should be well gettable at reasonable prices. Best signing in the summer would be to bring Gareth Barry back as captain but that is quite unlikely

Osman is a good shout. Would work very hard. I could see him being useful. Dwight Gayle is a good player and would score goals at that level. Crouch too. Jedinak is ideal to come is as captain. Takes no crap.

He is a good shout.
I almost choked at the suggestion of Walters but then thought about it and what he does give you every single game, whether he plays wide or plays up front is a fucking good shift of work. On that basis I think and with his experience and engine, I think he'd be good for us in the Championship and at the level might also grab you 10 goals in the process.
Crouch has a good year or two left in him too. He'd be a good focal point and he's likeable.
