As a club we just need some renewed energy.

We're 99% certain to be relegated. Time to take stock of it all.

What is more important to me is that if we do go down, we go down in the ascendancy - with at least something to fuel a bit of optimism........

I'd like Garde to stay and I think we have the nucleus of a decent side. Maybe what happens between now and the end of this season will have a big influence on how we go into the next one.

Exactly. How we finish this season will determine how we do next.

You cannot just go from crap at the end of one season, buy a new team and expect to do well the following season.

Well actually you can if you buy better players.

You are either missing or ignoring the point.

Garde said today the players need new blood to give them a lift and to re energise the group. I listened to the 13 minute interview Tom Ross put up earlier. He speaks so well and coherently. I do hope he can get some decent results if only to give the fans some faith in him before next season as much as anything

I am impressed every time I listen to this man. I think we need him to stick around post relegation.

Just watched Gillingham vs Wigan, Bradley Dack looked a handy little player at lower level, could pick a very fine pass and good first touch.

Bradley Dack sounds like he should have shared top billing with Dirk Diggler in a Ben Dover production. The best first touch I ever saw was from someone called Fingers Clitwell, but I doubt that was his real name.

its not just the points total though is it?

its the 8 nil at chelsea
getting bummed in an fa cup final
bradford
orient
no wins in 9 at home
sheff utd
longest run in our history without a win
15 goals conceded and none scored
being shit at home for 5 seasons
being shit for 5 seasons
6 nil at southampton

but if we get to 25 points we wont be a laughing stock?

reality check - we already are

exactly  we have beat every horrible record at the club

Millwall too

That's just the on the field stuff.  The off the field stuff has just compounded the misery.  "Factory of sadness" indeed.

I hope he can get the results to prove that he can get results!  Being a bit suave and not Sherwood appears to be all he has in his locker at the moment.

Exactly the point I was making. I hope he gets some results to at least give the fans something to have faith in going into next season. I admire his wishlist of Mandanda, Debuchy and Remy, but I think he needs to set his sights in the real world!

There was an interesting comment about him have a very different set of contacts to the ones the club have used before today, which made me think it was a way of saying he is charge of who comes in.

That has made me chuckle!

Listening to the Tom Ross interview with Garde, he mentions a few times that our recent results haven't helped with getting the transfer targets he wants. In other words now that we are nailed on relegation certainties, nobody will touch us with a barge pole

So he and we need to get our heads out of the clouds, stop persueing  the likes of Remy and Debuchy and see if we can get a jump on some of the better talents in the Championship and not waste 22 days chasing players who are a pipe dream.
