anyway its not in our hands its in the players hands and we have zero influence over it so why be bothered by it?

It's a good point, but it does kind of beg the question why you bother supporting a football club at all, let alone post on a mesage board about one...??

there is thing called freedom of speech and having an opinion

i have a st and have followed the villa for 40 years and will say what i like

dont start with i am a better fan than yow because what i say is right and what yow say isnt

you are bothered by our points totatl and im not, so what?

If you're not bothered by our points total, then what's the point of angrily posting everytime we lose?

Isn't the point he's making that if we get relegated he doesn't care about the points total with which we do it - ie if it is 30 or 20

I'm sure he's not quibbling with the importance of winning points.

its not just the points total though is it?

its the 8 nil at chelsea
getting bummed in an fa cup final
bradford
orient
no wins in 9 at home
sheff utd
longest run in our history without a win
15 goals conceded and none scored
being shit at home for 5 seasons
being shit for 5 seasons
6 nil at southampton

but if we get to 25 points we wont be a laughing stock?

reality check - we already are

I'm not having that !

Saints was 6-1. Credit where credits due !

Let's not forget our standing as the very worst team in all 4 leagues during 2015 too.

Longest run in our history without a win at home
10 hours without a goal last season
Losing to Milwall

Theres loads of them.

Good luck to him. I was always a Cole fan. It's just a shame we signed him 5 years too late. When he actually did appear on the pitch and didn't have to move too much, he wasn't too bad. But he should have made the drop down a couple of years ago at least.

Maybe, but if we go down on a record number of low points, he'll no doubt add it to his list.

The best answer, which is no answer unless you work it out yourself, to who would be left after a purge would be those who have not been taking the piss since the start of the season.

I would also add that I never knowingly come on this forum wishing to offend or put down any other poster. I only say what I believe.  We are are all, first and foremost Villa fans going through a very bad time.

I thought that was quite amusing. It was better than some of the games.

I couldn't give a monkeys about the record points total either. For no particular reason at all, whatever transfer business we do this window, I think we will better it anyway.

What is more important to me is that if we do go down, we go down in the ascendancy - with at least something to fuel a bit of optimism. Plus if I see Richards and Hutton line on the right side of of our defence again I think I will bust a nut.

I'd like Garde to stay and I think we have the nucleus of a decent side. Maybe what happens between now and the end of this season will have a big influence on how we go into the next one.

exactly

i want us to win every game and compete in every game. when we dont i am as pissed off as the next person

as i and others have posted we have broken every shit record over the past 4 seasons and yes knowing how far we have fallen hurts me as much as everyone else

i think we wilk pick up another 10-12 points over the season and wont have the lowest points tally but if we dont im not bothered

as fans we have our dignity, our players dont and we cant change that hence my opinion on the points total, it doesnt make me right it doesnt make anyone else right

fuck me cant we just sign somebody

Exactly. How we finish this season will determine how we do next.

You cannot just go from crap at the end of one season, buy a new team and expect to do well the following season.

Well actually you can if you buy better players.

Having good players is not a guarantee of doing well.

Not having good players is a guarantee of not doing well.
