its not just the points total though is it?

its the 8 nil at chelsea
getting bummed in an fa cup final
bradford
orient
no wins in 9 at home
sheff utd
longest run in our history without a win
15 goals conceded and none scored
being shit at home for 5 seasons
being shit for 5 seasons
6 nil at southampton

but if we get to 25 points we wont be a laughing stock?

reality check - we already are

You're right, it's a damning list. I just don't understand why you're so happy for it to be added to?

im not happy, if happens it happens if it doesnt it doesnt we are down anyway and just because we dont have a record points low wont be any consolation next season when we are playing rotherham

anyway its not in our hands its in the players hands and we have zero influence over it so why be bothered by it?

It's a good point, but it does kind of beg the question why you bother supporting a football club at all, let alone post on a mesage board about one...??

I think Remi might walk once relegated is confirmed or at the end of the season if he felt he couldn't take us any further. I don't get the impression he's ready to walk out now at all.

I often wonder why I bother/care. The only answer I seem to come up with is "because it's Aston Villa'.

Agreed. I don't want that list to be added to either. We still have our pride for crying out loud.

It's a good enough one.

I said exactly this to someone earlier today.
Especially if the purse strings are tightened, he'll be saying he didn't sign up to this.

Richard, all the signs are there to be read. Since the MON flounce we have all had to become code breakers to know what is going on. A phrase here, a word there, tone of voice, body language all tack stitched together by what you hear on the grapevine and no, I am not saying what if anything I hear on the grapevine.
I believe as I have said on here that there has to be a blood letting before we can start to win games. I strongly suspect that Remi wants to know that the club are 100% behind him if he has the proper purge that is needed. If he detects anything less than total support for his plan I think he will walk.

Let's not forget our standing as the very worst team in all 4 leagues during 2015 too.

I recall an early interview he gave which was on the club site where he more or less said if they were relegated they would shake hands and agree things hadn't' worked out. Ever since seeing that I have taken the view that he would not be sticking about following relegation.

Whatever points total we end up with, its unlikely to prevent relegation and universal piss taking/rejoice in Sandwell and Small Heath.  The fact that we've broken so many other unwanted records means that it's just another one for the pile.  A bit like a bloke getting forty lashes & can't feel the last 35 really.

If you're not bothered by our points total, then what's the point of angrily posting everytime we lose?
