Anyone think Altidore could cut it in the Championship

With rumours of Senderos going to Lazio it made me think of how many players we have ruined over the past few years. Supposed young English talent such as Bennett and Lowton disappear without a trace. Supposed experienced players like Crespo who could play anywhere across the back four apparently has one start and again disappears also see Senderos. The bizarre signing of Ilori....... I have come to the conclusion that body snatchers have moved into Bodymoor.

I'd try and get Jordan Rhodes. May hit the ground running, scores goals in the championship, works with Gestede. Lambert may tell us to GTF though and I wouldn't blame him.

To be fair mate, Villa took Lowton and Bennett from the lower leagues and took them into the spotlight and have enhanced their career, despite them returning to the lower leagues, well, certainly in Lowton's case anyway.  Villa also rescued Senderos as he wasn't really connected to a club when he was signed.  That said, they are all piss poor signings and shouldn't have been made.  Equally, Crespo seems to have had his time wasted by coming to Villa. I wish them all well, but what a bag of shit we signed.

Lowton came from Sheffield United and went to Burnley. That's not much of a career enhancement.

Just before anyone starts up another Bennett is decent/has potential band wagon, Bournemouth lost their first choice full back and would still rather pick their 2 and 3rd choice than have Bennett in that squad. He's shit and a fanny who gets physically bullied.

He should never have come here in the first place though. Never ever going to be good enough at this level. He's probably lucky to still be playing in the Championship.

the os site had an interview with bennett and he said that he would come back a better player

he was shit at brighton and aint had a sniff at bournemouth so not sure how that works

Would probably look at Dwight Gayle again. Had a good record in the championship with Peterbrough.
