Remy would be a brilliant signing - if we had 8 more points.

If wonder if we did sign him how the Club would spell his name?

Tom Ross just tweeted he bumped into Vlaar this morning at Bodymoor
Obviously getting some free treatment from our well practiced medical team.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde wants Loic Remy to save his club from what appears to be inevitable relegation.

Garde was part of the coaching team at Lyon, where Remy began his career, and aims to tempt his fellow Frenchman on loan from Chelsea.

Remy has played just 146 minutes of Premier League football this season – less than Baba Rahman, Kenedy and even Radamel Falcao.

Villa are 11 points adrift of survival but Garde believes that canny January business could see them pull off the seemingly impossible.

“He is a guy that I know well,” Garde told the Birmingham Mail. “Of course it would be an interesting player for the team. Of course, yes.

“Loic is quite a special one because he knows the country and knows the league.”

“I can’t tell you exactly today (about the chances of signing him), but he is part of some players I am trying to attract in Aston Villa for sure.”

Remy scored 14 Premier League goals while on loan at Newcastle from QPR in 2013/14

I can't see Chelsea loaning him to relegation rivals.

More chance of Richards becoming positionally aware in the next week than Remy signing.

With a new manager, why would Chelsea let him go? Surely, Hiddink will want to keep everyone until he has sussed out who his best players are. Maybe Remy might be in the fold again..

I think we will get Remy. I doubt Garde would be speaking like that if it was unlikely he would sign.

If Chelsea bring in another striker it's possible but otherwise I doubt he will.

we're usually very hush hush when we do business. Obviously they've decided to leak it to try and lift the gloom.

Well they have super Pat Bamford back from Palace so let Remy and Rémi be reminited.

I have read that one of the objectives of Hiddink's spell in charge is to use more of their youngsters, so Bamford could be part of Chelsea's plans.  I'd be delighted with either on loan as the Boro fans loved Bamford whereas Remy is infinitely better than what we have at the moment.

It seems like Jose didn't have full control of ins and outs so I doubt whether Hiddink will. *reaches for straws*

Now that might be a decent signing if we are looking at being in the Championship next season.

Pat Bamford sounds like it should be the name of a female character in Emmerdale.

Unusual for a manager to speak so openly about a player like that, there must have already been some dialogue between the parties. He'd be a great signing, but sadly it's too late.
