Already said clampy. I'd get Remy in on loan preferably with Ayew still there. Remy or Ayew likely to get the goals we need? Both of them?

Remy's a good shout, but there's no need to sell Ayew at the moment, it would be a mistake.

I don't know the budget, but i'm not hopeful, hence i'd sell ayew now to stay in the premiership in return for the next 6 years of us watching him arsing around for liverpool/chelsea/whoever

But selling him won't guarantee us staying up. Keeping him wouldn't either but he showed the other day he can whip in a goal from nothing so i'd rather we stuck with him.

I know where you're coming from clampy, really i do. Ayew is going to be quality,. a few of us are realising that now. Like i said he's gonna be far better than Benteke. It's a throw of the dice what garde will do. hopefully he has the money to bring in a striker who can do it now, not next season

But Ayew is the one player who is doing it for us now, this season.

I agree with that, but there's not a hope in hell that he will keep us up with his goals at this stage of his career. I don't think anyone's gonna argue with that.  20m in Jan with still a hope of staying up or the same or less in May?

You're not going to get £20 million for a player with a month of good performances behind him and which mythical two in three striker would join us now?

Already said i 'd take Remy on loan and while not perhaps 2 in 3, i think he'd give us something we haven't had for a long while.  A direct striker. He'd probably suit Gestade for a start. Obviously them 2 and ayew would be preferable

The Ayew you want to sell?

No, please don't answer that. It's late. Merry Christmas.

I'd like Remy on loan as well and it sounds nice enough but Chelsea have got to agree to it first and even then, we wouldn't need to sell Ayew.

I'd bloody keep him. I thought i'd made that clear. but considering we're 20m short of a premiership side, god knows how many points from safety, and Lerner isn't gonna bail us out, there are times when,  y'know...

A Merry Christmas to you as well. I'm not religious so don't celebrate it, but a Happy christmas to all Godbotherers on here

Lovely. While I am non religious too, there is no need for the latter insult to those who are.

I was getting excited thinking we had agreed a deal with someone only to find that there are posts about selling our most effective forward to buy another forward to stay up????
What about we keep Ayew and sell some of the other dross for peanuts and then sign another forward to play alongside Ayew?

Oh and as an atheist, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

That's two comma merchants. What's all that about?

Are sick beggars and con men likely bed-fellows?

Lots of Xmas spirit appears to have been drunk.
Some of it appears to have been vomited back up again as well.
