i like gil but for me too lightweight, too slow and too predictable
So why do you like him then?.

He has nice hair.

He makes a lovely cup of tea.

He knows Renee and Renato and/or members of Ned's Atomic Dustbin.

Because if he had decent players around him who moved off the ball and made decent runs he would be fine and would thrive but with our options at the moment it's a case of we signed him at the wrong time.

He said in the summer he had no interest in leaving QPR to join another club in a relegation fight and was better off staying at the club (or words to that effect), we might as well go for Messi and Neymar as well.

Maybe so but I also think he expected QPR to be closer to the promotion places. As it stands who would he prefer in a week or so, or expect to be back in the Prem with, if its a choice between a doomed Villa or a mid-table Championship QPR?

Newcastle is my guess.

Didn't he already turn them down. He won't go back to them. Players don't tend to make such abrupt about turns.

I thought it was a case of him not being French and under 22.

Austin will end up at Wessam or Palace I reckon.

I wonder if Dwight Gayle will be back on our radar.

If he is I hope it is only the one operating our air to ground guided missile system.

Ideal for the championship in fairness. Would score shed loads.

Or we have had managers who haven't been willing to play him in the role where he would be most effective.  At the moment, most of his work is done on the halfway line where he can't hurt players.  He needs to getting the ball in central areas in the final third, where I think he could hurt teams.  He isn't going to effective defensively, but I would be willing to sacrifice that, especially at home.  Same applies to Grealish.

Totally agree. He could do pretty well in between Ayew and Jack.

Is Barry playing much for Everton nowadays?  Might be a decent shout for 6-months and as a base to get us back into the PL.

Played pretty much every game for them.

Edit: in fact, he's played every minute of every league game. So probably not someone they're going to want to send our way.

Not sure if I mentioned him on here but maybe a loan bid for Mirallas? He's not playing at all recently for Everton and will surely want regular football somewhere with euros coming up.

Him or Naismith I'd be happy with anyway, less so Osman or Pienaar if he's even still alive up there.

Miralles would be a hell of a signing, but I think much better sides will be in than us.
