I suppose that's what being dropped for no good reason and replaced by Kieron Richardson does for you. Nice one Tim.I wondered if Amavi was reluctant to commit too far forward because he was under strict instructions to keep the shape at all costs. Also City were pretty threatening down our left (most of their dangerous attacks were down that side), so maybe that was in his mind too.Could have been. But the problem wasn't that he didn't get forward, it was that he got forward then passed it backwards. I still think he's going to be a blinding signing in the long run, he's just got a touch of class about him.

Quote from: Steve Rose on November 08, 2015, 03:32:09 PMWe got about as much out of that game as we could have. A good team selection, good formation, an excellent game plan, a point and even NZogbia broke into a trot when he came on.We are a lot closer to safety than just one point on comparison to the absolute dross that featured last Monday night. City played better than any other visiting team so far this season and went away with a lot less.I think Alan Smith would rather lose a testicle than say something positive about Villa. He's a villa fan

A striker is the problem, Gestede came on for the final few minutes to try and cause some problems in the air bit if you play him from the start it limits the way you can playAnd every time you thought 'get the ball over' it WAC probably pointless because we had little threat thereSo we need a forward who is good in the air, great with his feet, strong, athletically fit, powering bullying personality, a bit of pace with a twist of flairI think that should do it
Alan Hutton was very good today.
