It's not been great, but considering how er... experimental the lineup looked it's not been as bad as it could have been.

Let's hope that wasn't our good half.

Indeed. They put a lot of energy into that half. I hope we don't fade away with tired legs as we all scream at Sherwood to make some changes.

Better from Jack, not an easy chance for Gabby but it was not a good finish at all.

Our only attacking player who's been decent is Ayew but he's having to do too much on his own, Gabby is utterly anonymous, Gestede is offering exactly what we know he does and Grealish just can't seem to get into the game.  What's the odds on Gabby playing the 90 and Ayew coming off after an hour?

Gabby's link up play has been great. Ayew has impressed me too. Looks very comfortable with the ball. Grealish is not getting the chance to run at them, playing far too deep.

He's barely touched the ball so I have no idea where you've got that from.

From all the times he brought others into the game. He's dropped deep to link up the play very well. I can't help you if you can't see it.

He's played 13 successful passes and  most of those have been the absolute basics you'd expect from a striker (take a touch lay it off), you must have really low expectations to think he's been great.

His link up play not his overall play. By his recent standards which were at best poor, he's having a decent game.

See decent I can accept (although I personally think he isn't involved enough considering he's the senior player in the front 4) the great was was what i objected to, as I say, I think he's largely anonymous, which is what he always does when we're struggling to build anything.  And then he misses our best chance of the game, needs to do better there.

Fucking hell. Great work from Bacuna. We really should have scored. Much, much better from us.

How many other sides, when they have a throw in, fail to move to give the taker options as often as we do?

I think Sherwood said to them at HT, "Fack it, it's my last game in charge. Go out and Win One For the Gipper"

We've been exactly the same for as long as I can remember. Even under different managers with different players.
