Even with some hefty competition of late, I reckon that Gestede is easily the worst player I've seen in a Villa shirt in 20 years.  He's an absolute cart horse, and the TV just correctly showed the lazy ****** jogging around when everybody else was pushing forward.  Lazy, shit, donkey.

I don't think Gabby's been brilliant but he's been much better than normal. He's certainly been better than Gestede, who might be as tall as you like but can't actually bloody move. We might as well have stuck the Chrysler Building up front.

Is it out of contract?

Put it to the committee if you like, but it's no use - Tim wants to sign the Gherkin.

Grealish disappointing...Bacuna looks lost, I'd replace them with Veretout and Gil.

It's not been great, but considering how er... experimental the lineup looked it's not been as bad as it could have been.

Let's hope that wasn't our good half.

Been a while since I've seen Swansea look so poor. Montero looks decent though so expect Timmy to take Hutton off and move Bacuna there to give him a better chance.

Our only attacking player who's been decent is Ayew but he's having to do too much on his own, Gabby is utterly anonymous, Gestede is offering exactly what we know he does and Grealish just can't seem to get into the game.  What's the odds on Gabby playing the 90 and Ayew coming off after an hour?

Gabby's link up play has been great. Ayew has impressed me too. Looks very comfortable with the ball. Grealish is not getting the chance to run at them, playing far too deep.

He's barely touched the ball so I have no idea where you've got that from.

From all the times he brought others into the game. He's dropped deep to link up the play very well. I can't help you if you can't see it.

He's played 13 successful passes and  most of those have been the absolute basics you'd expect from a striker (take a touch lay it off), you must have really low expectations to think he's been great.

His link up play not his overall play. By his recent standards which were at best poor, he's having a decent game.

At half time the commentators in my stream have shown 2 situations where Gestede should be bursting into the area, but instead he barely ran - until it was too late to get into a good position. Urgency is missing.

It has been a poor game. There certainly is a chance of winning here. Looking forward to see what substitutions Sherwood will bring in the second half.

Just seen the average position of our 11 in the first half. It's like someone's sneezed them out.
No shape, no structure. It really is time to get someone in who can get the basics right.

I asked about Veretout earlier - he's probably seen enough and gone back to France

MAyew has been our best player Jack useless hopefully off after 10 minutes of this half. Why is Bacuna playing so deep and central?
