Gabby has been ok given his limitations.

Given his form over the last 5 years that is a very low base

Our only attacking player who's been decent is Ayew but he's having to do too much on his own, Gabby is utterly anonymous, Gestede is offering exactly what we know he does and Grealish just can't seem to get into the game.  What's the odds on Gabby playing the 90 and Ayew coming off after an hour?

Gabby's link up play has been great. Ayew has impressed me too. Looks very comfortable with the ball. Grealish is not getting the chance to run at them, playing far too deep.

He's barely touched the ball so I have no idea where you've got that from.

From all the times he brought others into the game. He's dropped deep to link up the play very well. I can't help you if you can't see it.

Not great to watch  but we're still in it. Ayew and Hutton have been the brightest sparks. Grealish, Gabby and Rudy need to do more as they're are not even showing for a pass from the Ayew/Hutton down the right who are making decent progress.

2nd half or rugby, hmmmm

My thoughts as well.

Rugby looks a lot more entertaining

All 22 players could be sitting in the centre circle doing brass rubbings, and it would still be twice as entertaining as the rugby.

I was expecting shitter but then I was expecting Swansea to be a lot better. Do we think Sherwood will go whatever the result? I'm not convinced.

Correct.

Even against a Swansea side who look a shadow of previous seasons

I don't think Gabby's been brilliant but he's been much better than normal. He's certainly been better than Gestede, who might be as tall as you like but can't actually bloody move. We might as well have stuck the Chrysler Building up front.

Positives Ayew, Gana and Hutton.  Ironically I'd bring Hutton off for Sanchez and push Bacuna at right back as he's better going forward than Hutton (Hutton gets into the right positions but then doesnt seem to know what to do)

Gabby is pressing well on occasions.  Grealish just not in the game - Gill on for me.

Grealish is like that dick who used to be in your school team who thinks he's much better than he is and never puts a shift in when you need it. There, I feel better for saying it.

He does not appear to be getting the right sort of off-field mentoring support. His enthusiasm and effort seem to have dissipated.

A management challenge. Thanks, Tim.

He's played 13 successful passes and  most of those have been the absolute basics you'd expect from a striker (take a touch lay it off), you must have really low expectations to think he's been great.

Is it out of contract?
