Westwood's game:

*lay off easy ten yard pass*
*jog more or less on the spot, don't move much, look mercurial*

*repeat*

The midfield 3 were all stood within 5 yards of each other just now, with 8 Stoke players between them and Gestede/Sinclair.  This is utterly, utterly, utterly shit.

Well to be fair, it's important they keep it tight, because they've only got FIVE defenders behind them.

I think Westwood is doing alright. I think because he's a short/sideways passer that the 3-5-2 does him well. He's been tidy and is willing to help the cb's.

I need to see something in the final third. No magic.

Gana is an abysmal player.  Can't pass the ball to save his life.

That pass. Chunted to nothing, like he'd given up. No options, no thought, no precision, just swinging the leg and hoping for something other than the worst. This is absolutely horrible.

I think he and Amavi, along with the early signs from Veretout, are pretty much our brightest sparks to be honest. Not too much wrong with plenty of the players...

The floaty corners make giving away a freekick more likely, I think, because the players have to climb and generate power themselves, getting themselves into tussles with defenders in which referees will decide give against the attacking team.

Talking of floaty ones, remind me to take a potato masher to the bathroom next time I visit.

Well safe to say the team selection was not a tactical masterstroke from the genius in the gillet, and was as shit as we all thought it would be.

We look like a time who has left its most dangerous and creative players on the bench.

We look like one of those relegation sides that start chopping and changing weird tactics and formations that everyone else finds baffling but funny at the same time, then sack the manager and bring in someone else who you know will be shit. I just don't see what Tim thinks is going to happen with this side playing this way.

I'd go along with your comment .
