Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool Football Club, have decided to sack Brendan Rodgers.

This is according to talkSPORT, who claim to have been told that Rodgers will be replaced at Anfield - but not by former Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp.

It was revealed earlier today, by Sky Sports, that Klopp would be willing to end his sabbatical early if the “right job” became available in the Premier League. But, in news that will disappoint a significant number of Liverpool fans, it seems FSG are not actively pursuing the revered German coach.

I know because of payout concerns most managers don't, but if the club were already publically shopping new managers I would resign. I don't usually wish bad on other, non-rival clubs but I do love me some large club turmoil. Man, Benteke and Delph's moves seemed to have turn sour pretty quickly. Whatever.

Regarding the sack, I'll believe it when I see it. But we might, just might, have a chance on the weekend.
