Lovren is apparently out for at least 2 months as well.

Guzan, Hutton, Richards, Clark, Amavi, Sanchez, Veretout, Westwood, Grealish, Ayew, Gestede

Is how I reckon he'll start.

Benteke out. Lovren out. Disinterested team. Crowd on the manager's back, allegedly one game away from the sack. We've got a great record up there.

I think every Villa fan knows how this ends.

We can do this. Benteke out. Loveren out (would rather him in. He has been terrible) And a fan base screaming for Rodgers head !!! A team low on confidence after just getting over the line to beat Carlisle !! Early goal and the crowd will be quiet but screaming for a new manager. The scene is set. Come on Rudy. 0-1 Ayewe .......

Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool Football Club, have decided to sack Brendan Rodgers.

This is according to talkSPORT, who claim to have been told that Rodgers will be replaced at Anfield - but not by former Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp.

It was revealed earlier today, by Sky Sports, that Klopp would be willing to end his sabbatical early if the “right job” became available in the Premier League. But, in news that will disappoint a significant number of Liverpool fans, it seems FSG are not actively pursuing the revered German coach.

A link to the TS piece, which seems to be everybody else's source.

So he's sacked. Probably. Perhaps. But not yet. Maybe.

I know because of payout concerns most managers don't, but if the club were already publically shopping new managers I would resign. I don't usually wish bad on other, non-rival clubs but I do love me some large club turmoil. Man, Benteke and Delph's moves seemed to have turn sour pretty quickly. Whatever.

Regarding the sack, I'll believe it when I see it. But we might, just might, have a chance on the weekend.

If he isn't gone by Saturday and we go there and get a result he will be gone for sure.
