True, but have we got a place in our 25 man squad left?

Presumably his contract has been paid up so the big wedge in his wallet might make his wage demands a little more realistic. I can see him stretching the shirt. I really can.

I thought the sticking point was he wanted to travel from London and not relocate

I agree with Brian, I think it's a strong possibility. Sherwood really rates him, although if the press reports were accurate, it would seem that he has little appetite for living in Brum.

Do what you do with a horse that will not go in the stalls. Turn it round and round until it becomes disoriented. Show him some houses in Stoke and Rowley Regis. Brum will look like Santa Monica in comparison.

There was a bizarre segment on last nights Match of the Day which appeared totally unconnected to the games being shown. It was a clip of Adebeyor scoring for Man City against Arsenal and his subsequent inciteful  running the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal supporters. After the clip had run Lineker states, in a somewhat ironic tone, "Whatever happened to  Adebeyor".

Did anyone else see/ hear this - perhaps I missed the link with something.

But he wasn't a free agent when the window closed, I thought that was the important bit?

I really hope we leave this well alone, I think his last statement confirmed he's not as stable as you'd want for a multi million pound investment.

I'm pretty sure we're at the full 25 man squad so can't sign him even if we wanted to.

Apparently yes. He can't sign for anyone till January now.

I wonder if Lambert's pile is still up for sale?

I'm not sure about that. It would be a restraint of trade to not allow a free agent to join someone. I'm not sure how the 25-man thing stands but I bet there's some sort of allowance for free agents. Maybe we can de-list Senderos or something.

Wouldn't that be a restriction of trade? How was he to know he'd have his contract paid up when it was and so now has effectively lost the opportunity to earn 3 months income.
