I think a lot of them will have an idea what this will be like. All they need to be told is multiply the Bitters QF a few times and they'll be close to what this will be like.

At least half the team weren't here for that.  Fortunately they get a rehearsal of their own a few days before.

As you say.  Take that atmosphere, multiply by 10 and you'll be somewhere close to the atmosphere by Monday afternoon.
Don't think it will be quite that bad. It's milk cup, rd 3, September .
Fa cup QF in April is a far bigger game

Night game. We haven't played them for 5 years. It won't be WW3, but it won't be a friendly either.

Villa will face Blues in the Capital One Cup third round on Tuesday September 22.

The derby game at Villa Park will kick-off at 7.45pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports.

We were drawn with our neighbours following the completion of all second round ties.

We defeated Notts County 5-3 after extra-time while Blues beat Gillingham 2-0.

That's good. I can go on that day. My week now consists of Villa on Tuesday, Lumerians in Bristol on Wednesday, Josh Widdecombe in 'Nam on Thursday and then the Psychfest/Anfield weekend

Anyone who wants a chuckle, visit SHA from this mornings heights of nailing us, their star player Gray ? is leaving on a release clause for a price, that is lower than  they were offered from Bournemouth.
They now believed they are fucked.
If it is any consolation to them, so do I.

When you're playing that lot, the context of the game in terms of competition and how far you've come are pretty much irrelevant.

Would that QF defeat in 2010 have hurt less if it was the 3rd round instead?

The only way it would matter more would be if (god forbid) it was an actual final or by some miracle they'd got a chance of denying us a league title (Yes I know that's actually 2 miracles, one to get them promoted and 1 to get us all the way back up there.)

"Zulus gonna get ya"

Apparantly

From behind the Windows of the coaches they come on.

Surely the Zulu myth was put firmly to bed 12 years ago, their fans will be a lot more worried than ours should be.

I assume it'll be on a diffrent date to Walsall v Chelsea as the police don't like Villa being at home when there's lots of Nazis in Walsall.

This deserves the H&V equivalent of a retweet.

Highlights of the 1993 meeting. Skip to 16 minutes for the sending off and the goal is not long after that. The last five minutes includes the aforementioned appalling analysis by Cooper and Greaves.

Indeed, my reply saying bravo, bravo and throwing flowers on the stage seems to have disappeared.

Superb.
