I don't get the attitude that we can't win this game. I really fail to see how its being small time to enjoy smashing your local rivals, even if they are 2nd division shite.

There isn't a Villa fan alive who won't enjoy smashing these apes. It's just that we won't be having an open-top bus ride through the city and an executive suite named after the occasion.

If I had pubic lice I'd be happy to get rid of them, but I wouldn't throw a party.

The only way we will lose it is if Bunn has a Enkleman moment, or one of our outfield players crack under the highly charged atmosphere and make a blooper

Surely Bunn's place is in doubt? This whole idea of playing your second choice keeper in the Cup is fins if the back up is decent. Bunn doesnt fill me with confidence.

First heard this when I got home last night and thought 'I can't be bothered with this'.

I've since slept on it and have a really positive instinctive feeling about the game. They may be well drilled under Villa Rowett but quality should overcome them. Derby outplayed them last week with simple pass and move stuff so with the likes of Grealish and Adama, the thought of how this game plays out excites me.

To sign Lescott this week would be a masterstroke by Tim. Two brummie lads at centre half who understand the derby is exactly what's needed.

If Clark and Baker don't understand the derby mentality, after being at Villa for 10 years...

Would you trust those pair at centre half in this game?

Gulf in class at present. I know derby games are supposed to be levellers, but I expect us to win. At home too. Bring it on.

I assume it'll be on a different date to Walsall v Chelsea as the police don't like Villa being at home when there's lots of Nazis in Walsall.

Forgive me I have sinned,and have just been for a wash, I could not resist having a peep at their reaction on SHA.
Lots of enthusiasum for hammering us, Smashing up the toilets, Wondering from one Ape if they would get 15% ticket allocation.
They do seem to think that as they play on Friday and us the Albion on Saturday they will be fresher.
Suggestions of flags showing Carr lifting the cup to show us what we could have done. Obviously a History Buff.
As befits creatures of the dark they seem very pleased about a night game.

I actually recognised more of the Notts County team than I do the Blues players - The Arsehole Robinson aside I would not pick one out from a line up

Rowett I feel will not use the previous tactics of roughing our players up

If ever the new boys needed an introduction to big city rivalry - this will be it - it will be spine tingling

I have often said even if we were guaranteed to beat them 10-0 every game I would still prefer never to have them darken our door, on the one chance they beat us

Serious question. Is there any chance of this being delayed until after the RWC games - I am thinking here that the plan would have been to 'hand over' the stadium after the Albion game to allow plenty of time for the full corporate makeover required before the Saturday egg-chasers game, which will include everything from beer supplies to every sign in the place (different sponsors paranoid about ambush marketing etc). I can't imagine those in charge will want to wait until midnight on Tuesday to start this exercise and then their first job being to repair all the damage that scum will do to seats / toilets / fire extinguishers etc.....?

Also, I am on holiday from 21 - 25 Sept and don't want to miss us give them a good shooing.....!
