Only if we sell Veretout, which I Vere much hope we don't.

Why (first point not second)?

Sorry.  Just because I think Veretout is better and has potential to get a lot better than Gardner. I wouldn't give Gardner a chance at the moment as I don't see the two playing together. Maybe Gardner can stay as cover and play in the League Cup.

I haven't seen any Forest matches but hasn't he been playing a more defensive role and therefore not competing with Veretout but possibly playing the side with him.  We should never keep players in the squad as cover.  They should all be capable to come into the side to keep all players on their toes.  This is one of the many failings we currently have.

Gardner plays deeper but could just as easily have played where Westwood has been. I stop think if we let him go it will bite us.

I would bring him back in the summer with the intention of playing him at the start of the season.  He did well last year at Forest so it shows that he can play at Championship level.  I am sure if he gets a run of games and stays clear of injuries he will be ok for next season.

On Saturday, Lewis Kinsella was relegated twice.
Kidderminster have also dropped.
That can't be too good for him
