Ashley Young worked his bollocks off in winning the ball back. Traore isn't a patch on Ash in attack or defence in my opinion.

Ashley Young was also about 2 years older than Adama when he joined us. If you want to feel old, it's just over 9 years since we signed Young.

I do feel old Mr Shin. That sounds an eternity ago. Yes Young was more ready and mature but he was already naturally a hard worker. Traore has tremendous natural attacking ability. He just needs to become a more rounded player so that he isn't a liability without the ball.

That is what surprises me about Traore, Barcelona have a massive work ethic, but he certainly don't seem to have followed that. Messi works his balls off, surely he should have learnt from that

Yet. 2 years is a big difference - Adama has massive potential.

Work ethic isn't always about age. Because it was we wouldn't be in the situation we are in. The work ethic of our senior staff is, to put it mildly, abysmal. Traore has to want to improve in that area of his game and I think a better working environment and better leaders around him will help immensely.

Has potential but needs some stability and guidance off the pitch. Could be an asset if he hangs around or a massive waste of £7m - 50-50 for me at the moment.

Ashley Young was raw and erratic when he joined us, but he turned out to be very good.

I don't agree with that, Young was far more the complete player.

He's quick, I'll give him that. To my mind one of those players who are uncoachable, he surely can't be playing to instructions when he does some of the things he does.

I'd play three up front next season:  Grealish, Ayew, Adama

A 'cruncher / spreader / buzzer' to control the centre of the pitch, consequently neither Grealish or Adama would need to chase back that much.  Happy days!

Given the quality of our coaching, "uncoachable" might not be a bad thing.

As a gambling man I will take odds from anybody who wants to bet with me against Adama Traore (given reasonable luck with injuries) going from us to establish himself with a far better side than we are.  You want hard work? You want effort? You want running through brick walls for the badge?  Then stick with honest journeyman footballers like Andi Weimann and Nathan Baker.

I agree, although we will be needing a few of those other footballers that you describe next season to get us out of the division.

We do indeed Clamps. Weimann's work ethic is lost to us but Baker's bravery alone will shine next season.  At places like Millwall next season Nathan Baker will win MOTM carrying his head in  Tesco bag.
