Do you think he'll stick around at the end of the season? If he does, on the one hand he could look like Pele at that level but on the other hand he might get Peles treatment at the 66 World Cup and be kicked out of the game every time he plays.

Unless we get the right offer he has no choice. It might do him good to play at a lower level and gain experience and you only need to look at the promoted teams this season to see that the old ideas of it being full of cloggers are less relevant.

Like a lot of our more/only saleable assets, the Jordans x3 we actually spent a lot of money on him and I can't see them having increased their value enough for us to have to sell for any profit we'd make. I'd have thought any sales of those players would be to get their wages off the books if we're in serious financial trouble.

I'm sure he will have a bit, but if he cost us 8 or 9 million and ends up scoring ten goals this season, he might end up being worth 15 million or so. If thats what we end up selling him for its cos we're fcked financially, not because 6 million profit is too good a deal to turn down.

Ayew will have ave increased his value.

Which is funny because after about 3 appearances lots of people were saying how terrible he was and we'd been completely had.

Anyone think that Traore's lack of footballing brain might be a blessing at the moment.  He doesn't easily fit into a strict formation and lacks the usual awareness of most footballers, consequently he recklessly tries stupid things.  In a team that is so low on confidence that unpredictability might help us.

I'd try him up top with Ayew for a game.

Agreed. No defensive responsibilities.

Staggered that we didn't do this on Saturday...against the two slowest CBs in the league!

I know Clampy.
I meant playing Traore up front, through the middle.
Sorry mate, didn't make it clear.

I reckon that could be the best option for the rest of the season. Ayew and Traore have pace and self belief, I think they're more likely to take shots on than players like Sinclair or Gestede and more likely to create their own chances too.

And all he's actually done now is play well in a few games!
