He was at turns bith shit and excellent.  But until he came on, Gil and Grealish had done virtually nothing and Sunderland had to result to doubling up on him.

He does cause panic though. One of their players resorted to trying to get him sent off by rolling round on the floor when he clearly won the ball. The ref fell for it and booked him, the player in supposed agony got back up.

I thought it was still a silly challenge, it was never going to gain possession - merely a throw in. Guess that's youth.

It was unnecessary but he won the ball but it's a fair point.

It wasn't a foul. Worse was the unpunished foul on Gil which ultimately resulted in his booking. Well done referee, you fu#king pen#s.

Do you think he'll stick around at the end of the season? If he does, on the one hand he could look like Pele at that level but on the other hand he might get Peles treatment at the 66 World Cup and be kicked out of the game every time he plays.

Didn't realise Portugal were playing in the Championship next season!

Unless we get the right offer he has no choice. It might do him good to play at a lower level and gain experience and you only need to look at the promoted teams this season to see that the old ideas of it being full of cloggers are less relevant.

If he could stay fit for 5 minutes he would tear the Championship a new one. If Jack pulled his head out of his arse and realized the talent he has and the career he could have, those two could be incredible, and a year lower down would be great for their development.

Jack will see the Championship as good potential for a jolly boys outing, lots of new towns he hasn't had a night out in with his mates.

I'll give two answers to that one:

a) Milton Keynes, Rotherham and Burton?

b) Why not - everyone else will.

You can still get the bus to Sheffield.

Great assist yesterday, but how was his general play?

Wander about until ball received. Turn. Boot ball past defender. Hare past defender and catch up with ball.  Encounter two defenders. Stop. Shimmy a bit then choose option of going for byline and crossing*. Or cutting in and losing ball.

*Crosses were either sent in for awesome Gil goal or to far side of pitch where only grass was there to receive.

I recall Adama putting in TWO great crosses yesterday, one was scored from by Gil, the other was begging for someone to finish at the front post (but no-one attacked it). After that, Sunderland put two men on Adama and his later crosses were over hit under pressure.

He's very raw yes, but I have seen very few players who have the talent just to run past the opposition like he does. He's potentially a very special player.

I'd take someone who does 5 crap things for every 2 great things rather than just a bunch who do absolutely fuck all that's any good.

Same goes for Gil. He and Traore should be playing more because they might create something. Maybe not much. Maybe not to much consistency, but it's better than nothing.
