What bollocks that Barcelona don't let good players leave!  Why is there a buy back clause on Adama? Garde is handling this entirely wrong. Ffs we're 9 points adrift with one win in 18 games. What is the risk in giving the guy a few games instead of Sinclair? You know, Adama might actually grow in confidence if the Manager believed in him. Garde is useless in a relegation scrap - he's not exactly achieved the new  manager bounce has he? More the bounce of a dead cat.

The risk is he offers no protection to his fullback and we have consistently struggled when we allow the ball to be turned over with men committed forward. I agree that he should probably get 20 minutes rather than 5 but the confidence that Garde has started to build could easily disappear if we gamble with his inexperience.

One of the chaps who sits in front of us said after about 70 minutes, 'he should bring Traore on', then a few seconds later said 'but who do you bring off' and Chris above hints at that. Taking off a midfielder with 20 minutes to go might have left is exposed, which in the last few minutes nearly did.

You realise Sinclair isn't playing either?

To be fair Veretout looked dead on his feet when he came off.

We'll be gone by the time our confidence is built up.

We don't have to go kamikaze gungho all out, but we do need to start scoring more goals, and the current set up isn't going to achieve it.  Sometimes a player, if let off the leash, can come in and be a catalyst for great things, and the best we can hope for at the moment it seems, is scraping 1-1 draws.  Gil was mostly hopeless against West Ham when he came on, so I can't really see how giving Traore a go against Norwich could be any worse.

1. Barca have a buy back clause inserted in all their academy transfer outs just in case they turn out to be good enough to play for them.
2. Adama so far has flattered to deceive. When he has come on he has produced 1 or 2 head down runs producing  zero outcome.
3. How have you worked out Garde is useless in a relegation scrap? His first job is to stop us losing and he is doing that.

having a championship player leading the line leads you to the championship

gestede is so one dimensional centre halves must love it as they can plan their afternoon at kick off

ayew, traore or even sinclair straight through the middle would keep them on their toes

Agreed, if your first priority is to pick a side not to lose before taking a chance of winning you get the results we have been getting

Whether we like it or not Sherwood took risks and while we got spanked a few times we also picked up enough wins because of the caution to the wind approach,

I don't want the guy back obviously,
but Garde needs to try out the 3 creative players more some times it will work sometimes not, but more draws are not what we need

Would have been better to put Traore on after the penalty went in. West Ham looked ropey as fook and we let them off the hook, just as we did at Newcastle.

I know it is not much longer but to be fair, Traore was ready to come on with nearly 10 minutes to go but it was a long time before a stoppage in play and then there was another 4 minutes injury time.

I think the difficulty for Garde was that with Gil replacing Sanchez earlier his hands were tied a bit.  Really, it needed Traore to replace Gil but how times do you see a substitute substituted.  Not sure whether Veretout picked up a knock or whether he was just shattered and Garde didn't want to risk losing him if he picked up an injury.

Yesterday the problem was not creating chances, the glaring problem was finishing and I don't think Traore, Sinclair et al are the solution to a lack of clinical finishing. We need a proper goal scorer - which we've all known for some time now. Our failure to secure one in the Summer is a big part of our current malaise.

I think Garde is doing just fine...we are two games unbeaten and confidence is growing. Now we need a couple of wins to close the gap to the other strugglers.

I would try him last 30 mins one of the games straight through the middle as a centre forward.
I don't think he knows what he's doing himself sometimes so the centre backs wouldn't really know what to expect.

Garde should've moved Bacuna to RB instead of Hutton, Clark to LB and replaced Westwood with Adama - not Veretout who was the pick of the midfielders. Bacuna is a right footed player and Clark a left footed player; take note Remi....
You have noticed that everything resembling width is coming from fullbacks who've got the pace and stamina to get up and down. Clark would not offer this, he just doesn't have the pace over 30-50 metres to do it.

In addition lining up Clark alongside Lescott, regardless of who's at fullback and centre back is just inviting either a ball down the channel or over the top that turns them both around and flailing like beached oil tankers.

Both full backs got into good positions yesterday but the final ball was a problem. With regards to Hutton, it reminds me of the 'mellberg at full back' days, let him have the ball because he won't hurt us.
