He's not started a league game because of the Notts County thug, so his development has been curtailed. He's got bags of promise though.
Still can't believe how that fecker stayed on the pitch in that game.
Traore's got bags of confidence and potential and this has got to be the perfect time to use him.

agreed. No point having him if he doesn't get some playing time to show what he can do - or can't. But I'm in Brian Green's camp on this one.

I think we just need to look at Delefou at Everton as a pretty good comparison with Adama. He took a little while to settle when he first came over from Barca, but he is looking like a terrific player now. Traore has undoubted talent, we just need to be patient with him and allow him the time to adjust without putting too much pressure on him.

Patience would be a great thing to have, but we are so desperate now right now we need a spark to happen one way or the other, throwing in him for the first hour may be all we have at the minute.

That's the problem though, in our frustration at how bad we are I wouldn't want to see us destroy a young kid who physically looks the real deal. A few years of maturing and learning the team game and he could genuinely be a worldy.

I doubt he will stay at us beyond this season if we go down, so we wouldn't be seeing that development.

He's played all his football before now in the Spanish second division. On much lower wages than we would be paying him.

I'm pretty sure that if we want to keep him then we will.

Yes, and he'd fucking destroy the division below. Get a half decent backline together and we'd be back up by Easter.

Some of the last few comments are ridiculous about not wanting to ruin him.

Some real idiots on here at times

He would indeed. I think he's potentially a superb player and just needs some time to settle.

Garde said today he is good one on one but still has a lot to learn about team play.

Definitely. Garde seems to know what he's doing, it makes a nice change to have faith in our manager.

I'd agree with that from what I saw versus Palace.

I also agree that we would not be forced to sell him unless it was for a profit.  Weirdly relegation and Adama might be good for each other.  Not so good for the club but a season playing regularly at a lower level and he really could 1. Get us promoted and 2. improve rapidly as a player.
