Players who run at defences are always going to get clattered, it is part of the job, they just have to learn to deal with it and hope that the referee does what he is there for. He looked good against Nott County but they are a struggling league 1 side who lost to Salford the other night so I think it has to be put into context.

Hopefully Garde will know how to use him and he will start to feature a little more but I think I will need to see a bit more of him before I declare him the new Ray Graydon.

Always respect what you say Chris but I think Adama Traore has the makings of being very much better than Ray Graydon.

Adama might be different, but, I've seen a few young wingers come through who had the makings of the new Ray Gaydon and they never made that step up.
Ray could go past defenders, put in a great cross and, importantly, score15+ goals a season. That's what Adams must aspire to.

I'm beginning to worry that he's turned into the invisible man

When we signed him it was made clear that he was one for the future not the present. It's not necessarily a conspiracy.

Do the club not want to play him due to the rumoured wage increase. It happened with Curtis Davies remember.

Why would we sign a player for 5 years and then refuse to play him after 2 or 3 months? That conspiracy theory makes no sense at all.

See my post above. If Traore is good enough he'll be worth paying the extra salary to help keep us in the PL.

How come he's even stopped making the squad and N'zogbia just comes back in?

It is a bit odd that he's apparently not injured and N'Zogbia comes straight back in, but he's only played 4 or 5 times and I can't imagine his wages would rise anything like that quickly

Apart from his run against Palace and a decent run out against L1 Notts County, he's been largely shit. Perhaps that would explain why he's not playing more often.

Blimey you can say that for the whole of the squad if that is the criteria. What else has he had, late sub appearences against Liverpool and Chelsea, tough opposition in games we've been losing.

If he can rip that Palace left back apart (and Palace have a good defence these days) he can do that to a few other mediocre left backs even if he does have his faults at releasing the ball. But so does CNZ, we've been watching years of him running up blind alleys.

That more or less sums him up for me, so far. He's got a long way to go and I don't think Garde is the type to take risks. Would be great if he developed into something special but in our position we need men, fighting for each other.

Bit of a silly comment considering he's hardly played since then.

He's played about 50 mins since the Notts County game. Bit harsh to say he's been shit.
