Wasn't it when he came on (might have been his debut?) against Hull and their players just kicked lumps out of him?

The stripey cup game, when he got clipped by Lescott and got a 2nd yellow for diving.

Sorry I was thinking of the match he got clattered from the word go, thought he'd maybe offended one of the Hull players wives or girlfriends the way they went after him.

Steve Bruce (rightly) got a lot of stick from the Trinity Lower for that "tactic"

The Lower Trinity eh? I can only imagine how scared he would have got from the sound of collective tutting.

It is very hard to tut when wearing dentures.   So I am reliably informed.

I still miss the sound of shoes stomping on the wooden floor of the old Trinity Road stand from back in the day.

Yes, SH, keeping warm was always a problem if you forgot your tartan blanket.

Could really do with Adama back in action next weekend...if this was a video game Adama would be my weapon of choice against a parked bus.

If he is fit, he should be on the bench and come on for the last 30 minutes as a game changer.  No we can't have that, our manager doesn't make positive substitutions that work, as so many are saying.

If he's fit then I'd start him, get at them early and a few goals on the board...is it possible this team could throw away another 2 goal lead? If so, then bring him off when we're 3-0 up and make sure he's fit for the Blues game a few days later.

We could really do with Gueye being fit and back for both games too.

I wouldn't play Traore or Grealish from the start against Blues. They will get kicked to death in it. Bring them on with 30 left and just watch Blues crumble.

I would start him this weekend though. Albion are slow and we will need all the different approaches to get through the Pulis barriers.

Sherwood stated today Traore has not trained since his injury. Really hope he is bluffing. As he said before the Sunderland game he might make it. He did not even mention Gueye/Gana ......

Hopefully that will mean Gueye is fit if there is no mention of his injury...

Quote
Tim Sherwood will assess Adama Traore, Carles Gil and Jose Angel Crespo ahead of the derby clash with West Brom - but hinted that it's still too soon to include Tiago Ilori.

Traore has been struggling with an ankle problem since coming off against Notts County in the Capital One Cup second round clash.

Gil was substituted against Leicester at the weekend while Crespo is on the road to full fitness after being out since the pre-season game against Nottingham Forest.

Sherwood was positive on Crespo and hasn't given up hope of having Traore and Gil available for the Baggies encounter on Saturday.

He told AVTV: "Jose is getting closer.

"He is certainly going in the right direction.

"Carles hasn't trained yet. He's been a little bit sore.

"We will just have to assess him and hopefully he makes it.

"Adama hasn't trained. He's not been out there.

"Hopefully we can build him up as quickly as possible and get him on the field and taking part."

Sherwood is a big fan of Ilori, who was signed from Liverpool on a season-long loan.

Despite the admiration he doesn't want to rush the versatile young star into first team action.

He added: "Tiago is not ready.

"He's a young lad who played in the U21s Championships and he's played his first 90 minutes since then the other evening against Brighton in the U21s.

"It's probably a bit early for him to start coming into the reckoning."

Yep we'll be a much different prospect with him in the team...my only concern is that he will spend more time out injured than on the pitch. Some of those challenges against Notts County were disgraceful and he really needs protection from the match officials.
