Five year deal, BOOM!

Edit:

Quote
Barcelona have a first-refusal option on the winger and can buy him back during his first three years at Villa Park, the Spanish club have announced.

Shit.

Did Tim actually describe him as 'a little bit Messi, a little bit Ronaldo' - no pressure!

Now you've got the Monkees 'A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You' going round in my head.

Donny and Marie - A Little Bit Country, A Little Rock And Roll.

He looks like he's got the attributes to be the complete midfielder in time.

Who was the other ex Barcelona player we signed?

Did we try to get Reo Coker back or was it Madrid he went to? Shame we could have done with Nigel.

I like the way he looks genuinely happy. Compare that to Lennon. At Everton and Anelka at Boggies

Welcome aboard! Very excited about the prospect of this lad. He looks potentially very good indeed. I'm quietly confident that Timmy has pulled off a hell of a summer.

What I like is that it looks like his centre of balance is somewhere near his ankles so he can turn and accelerate brilliantly, it's also why he's hard to knock off the ball.  He's needs some polish but the raw ability is there and with his strength and pace he's got everything he needs to be brilliant in that wide forward role or as a conventional winger.

This is a seriously good signing, Him and Amavi either side is a huge amount of pace for teams to deal with.  If Veretout develops how he's expected to he should find plenty of willing runners for balls in behind fullbacks, it really does seem to be coming together.

Good luck son. You start as N'Zogbia's understudy so pay attention and learn all you can.

This post should result in a ban of some sort.

Hypothetical daydreaming time.  Say Adama is awesome but not awesome enough for barcelona.  Is it realistic that Barca could buy him back at the agreed buy back amount *guessing* 15m and then immediately sell him to Man City for 25m?

Are Barca that sort of club?  Either way it will suggest that he has done well, but its annoying that we do not have complete control of the situation.
