There is going to be one almighty roar if his signing is announced just before the Man Utd match. A roar which will be heard on the other side of
this great planet we all live on. We should thank Paul Lambert for having the foresight to buy Christian Benteke who in turn has paid for most of these summer signings.

I think re the finished product thing, if he already were that, it'd imply he had lived up to his potential, in which case he wouldn't be coming here anyway.

I am fairly sure he must have signed if they are holding it back until tomorrow night for maximum effect Paulie. They wouldnt want Jose coming in late with a thirty million bid to sign him for their bench.

Having a player who can "lower his knees" is something to look forward to! Interesting assessment though, and it should be exciting all round, though clearly he has a lot to learn and we should judge him as a work in progress, and give him as much slack as, say, Grealish.

If he does arrive, I think this is really a salient point. My tendency would be to think that he will set the league on fire immediately, but I think I/we need to temper our expectations and allow him time to grow into the side and the style of the PL. I hope I have that sort of patience!
