The best one for any of you lot who've been to the U.S. is getting them to pronounce Worcestershire sauce. It's an abomination like no other.

Funny enough, I had to pronounce Bournemouth several times for my American friends to fully get it. And I'll forever be telling them how to say "Leicester". It's not that hard!

Talking of which, there's that urban legend about when an Aussie turned up in Leicester and asked how to get to Loogabarooga.

Or Loughborough as we call it.

That's a Carrott joke about yanks.

Yep, thinking about it, you're probably dead right about it being Carrott. So long since he did anything funny I'd forgotten.

Yep I know a guy from Indiana and the first time I heard him say it was - wooooo-oer-cesersterireshire sauce
