If they had a few more Darrens and a few less Greggs, they'd be well set.

But lacking in pastry products.

Have you been a Villa fan long? Good things happen rarely. Good players don't all arrive and play together at the same time. A joined up genuinely planned approach is for other clubs. We need a Hardwood and Bowery to temper the fell good vine that's letting people think good players will keep coming.

I'm from across the Atlantic and decided to follow a Premier League soccer franchise. All my buddies support clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal. I wanted a team that wins. So on Monday I decided I picked your team, Aston Villa. Been exciting so far, lots of players coming in through the draft and we won our game against a team I can't pronounce. Is it always like this?

Dammit TV, I just got this shirt cleaned. Now it's got tea on it again from me laughing at your above post.
Funny enough, I had to pronounce Bournemouth several times for my American friends to fully get it. And I'll forever be telling them how to say "Leicester". It's not that hard!

It's Bournemouth, as in "vermouth", right?  That's how I've been saying it all these years.

Wait til we play Nor-wich then...as an aside, my favorite joke is to tell them July 4th is Thanksgiving in England :)

Talking of which, there's that urban legend about when an Aussie turned up in Leicester and asked how to get to Loogabarooga.

Or Loughborough as we call it.
