It's a mentality thing. After years of being frankly full as ditch water in the market when we start trying to buy really exciting players we are quick to remember Ferdinand and Bergkamp being whisked from our grasp.

Which neither of them were. Ferdinand used us as a marker for Newcastle and Bergkamp was never close.

Liverpool have been cropping up regularly in this story, as have Stoke. What will be will be, but at least we are showing some imagination and flair in going about our recruitment business this summer. it really does make a change from the anticipation of welcoming Grant Holt.

C'mon lets get him in.  A couple of blokes at work who are far more knowledgeable than I about European football reckon he's a great talent.

Stoke have got Shaquri in now so hopefully there out of the running? and it would nice to get one over the likes of Liverpool in signing a player.

Ohhhhhhh Adame Traore, Ohhhhhhh Adame Traore, Ohhhhhhh Adame Traore etc etc

I know we're improving but we should still look to start with 11 players on the pitch.

Don't want to be a miserable bastard here, but - after years of false dawns and loads of absolutely shit unknown buys by Lambert - I'm a bit of a cynic. Has anyone actually seen this fella play? other than his highlights on Yow Tube.

Is he any good or are we just assuming that, because he's from Barcelona's reserves, he must be.

Serious question

Chris Jameson's son rates him so that's good enough for me.

Not had a report on him yet from Bill, he really rated Dongou and Deulofeu from his time as a mascot though if that helps.

Where would he fit in a Liverpool attacking position with Firmino, Benteke, Sturridge, Lallana, Coutinho and Ings. Not even including Origi, Balotelli and Borini in the list. There doesn't seem to be much game time at all.

I must of hit the post button halfway through.

Anyway, we would only need 10 men!

I don't know, but it's what he thinks that matters.

Am I right that this has been reported in a Spanish paper and every other news outlet is just regurgitating the article. The same outlet that had him signing for Stoke and/or Liverpool in past reports.

Not holding my breath on this one. Fingers crossed I guess.

I refuse to get excited by this one as i'm sure someone will nip in and beat us to his signature
Torygraph says Redscouse are in for him ...

Torygraph are saying Metro are reporting Liverpool will be in for him in the coming weeks.
