Blimey.  Even allowing for the fact that N'Zogbia and Kozak look to be surplus to requirements, that's still Ayew, Gabby, Sinclair, Gil, Grealish, Gestede and Traore to fit into 3 attacking positions.

I'd be disapointed to see Kozak go. If he does, I hope it's only on loan because there's a very good goalscorer there.

As for this Traore, I know you shouldn't get carried away by you tube clips but he looks bleeding great.

Traore done !! Wtf ! This is magnificent

Can't believe I am about to say this to you, but don't get over-excited.

Not reported as done by anyone serious yet.

I agree.  Maybe due to age and experience Sherwood has already accepted that they'll only manage 15-20 games each with additional games as sub.  A kind of pop idol style trial where we get shot of the ones who do not step up in the next/future windows.

Might not happen, but it seems that there's enough mileage in this to warrant its own thread now.

And Joe Cole.  Not sure which side of the list he is suppose to go on.

Risso using the word 'fit' immediately disqualified Cole.

I think Gabby will be phased out as well, otherwise he'd be captain and not 'club captain'

Likely to be 4 spots between 8 players including Kozak, which is healthy competition.

I've just saw this thread, read some reports and wee'd a little in excitement. This kid looks the real deal. What a signing of this comes off. Timmy you poker faced bastard with "we're only signing English from now on" statement yesterday...

Seriously very happy indeed if this is all true

Youtube obviously, but this fella seems a little bit special. Will be an amazing bit of business if it happens.

If we can get this kid, and say Lescott, it would be the best transfer window in a very long time.  I thought tht "Tactics Tim" was just going to buy a load of Spurs rejects and get them to run around a bit.

Lescott would spoil it slightly for me! I'd much rather keep Baker with the squad than bring in Slowleon

It seems like we're assembling a squad that is both promising and sensible.

How completely refreshingly un-Villa is that?
