Carragher was very good on Sky tonight. Absolutely tore Van Aanholt(?) a new one for his 'performance' for Sunderland on Saturday. And rightly so judging by the clips he showed.

Raved about Gestede a bit too.

The stupid woman on the Football League show does my head in. Why is it that the majority of women on TV to present/discuss sport, haven't got a fucking clue. All they know is Man Utd/Man City/Arsenal/Chelsea and the EPL. Not a fucking clue and irritating. The dopey mare on BBC breakfast (the one who looks like a horse), is also a fucking idiot.

There's a lot of shit male presenters, but the good to bad ratio is better than the women's. Eleanor Oldroyd is about the only decent female sports presenter I can currently think of.

I blame Sky Sports.

Surely the only requirements should be is, 1) not be annoying and 2) have a clue what you're talking about.

Well at least some of that could be seen as being sexist, careful...

I actually think Kelly Cate is a really good presenter.  She has a good sense of humour, lets the chat flow, but also knows when to step in, and has a decent level of knowledge.  Not seen the C5 show yet, but sorry to hear if it wasn't great, the BEEB should hang their heads for letting those rights slip.

MOTD just gets worse every season.  I like Danny Murphy as a pundit, oddly Shearer has improved, but not enough for me, and Lineker is beyond cruise control. For awhile his cheesy jokes were his main appeal, but even those have gone down hill.

Rebecca Lowe who does NBC sports coverage of the PL is excellent. She was on Setanta before I think.

Same cliches every week......blah blah blah...Manchess United.....Mancher City.....blah blah blah Robbie....blah blah blah Robbie.....

And that's different to any other top 4 loving media outlet how exactly? They concentrate on the clubs at the top and especially so given her audience is North American which narrows down the variety even further.

That's a harsh red for Noble.

Viewpoint from a neutral who attended her first ever football match today whilst watching the coverage on MOTD...

"They only tried to score about 2 times during the whole game and we were always in their half of the pitch trying to score, so why are they showing it to make it look as if they were the better team. I don't get it. It's discrimination".

Bless her.

Gullit is rather lazy with his punditry and analysis. He also shows some of his aloof attitude and really has a laid back attitude . He's entertaining in the way he knows his football beliefs and tells the rest of the panel. And will completely go away from the schedule/script asking questions and making statements (linekar trying to do a link) " Gary is Theo a striker? " and " you must go to the player that did the foul like martin keown on Ruud van nistleroy- I like this, this is what you must do"
He ll also give one or only a few words when lineaker asks a question on the lesser clubs . This is funny coz its awfully bad. He's Ruud gullit he doesn't care.

His answer to Liverpool's "not quite there'ness" was a bit left field to say the least. Change tactics, personnel or manager? No, move to a new stadium apparently, and then all will be well.

Absolute joke that was, Laughably bad
how many decisions have Liverpool had so far this season, they didn't get away with it yesterday but the ref tried his best

Benteke's offside goal, Arsenals on side goal, Noble's sending off,
they are just jammy fuckers

What was he on about? That was all a bit odd.
Keown is a crap pundit too, I got the impression he has no idea at all how our summer ins and outs have gone. At least Lineker seemed to realise after our opener how changed we are.

I like Danny Murphy, he's a good un.

Unfortunately some lazy pundits still haven't caught on or have blindly ignored the fact that since selling Benteke and Delph, we've actually gone about our business professionally, quietly and signed some quality players this summer that actually improve our squad as a whole.

They won't until we start winning. And frankly I don't think we deserve plaudits until they are earned. We can see this side is coming together but it will take a few wins for others to take note.
