Did anyone see the fan go arse over tit during the Gestede goal celebrations?

YouTube link

 ;D ;D ;D

There was also a pissed up bloke who kept trying to wander onto the pitch in the first half. I thought the stewards dealt with it very well. They just eased him back into the stands
There's a vine on Twitter of this. If I knew how to id upload it,

This bloke suddenly appeared next to me on Row H after half time and was really struggling to stand up...kept leaning on me for support which I gladly gave and I tried to engage in conversation...I honestly think he couldn't see me even though he was 6 inches away.
Wondered where he'd got to!

To paraphrase Villa fan Lee Child, he's gone down  like somebody who's been bet a million pounds  that he can't make a hole in the ground with his face

Serves them right for singing ''That's why you're going down" when our player missed a shot with the scores level at 0-0  :D

We clearly stepped up in the second half and frankly the result is all important

We did apparently only make five passes into their box all game, two successful

Getting grealish, Gil, veretout fit and up to speed should help

I know Ayew wasn't great but he did play a good part in our best move of the match

Brilliant result. Went away for the weekend and just caught the results coming through at the final whistle in a bar...then enjoyed the most amazing view with a chilled pint of liquid gold and a big smile on my face! Fantastic result, brilliant day.

What are all the comments about BBC about?

Loved hearing "Are you Walsall in disguise?"

Well-sung away support.

Have to say I thought we'd get a point at best out of this match. Great feeling getting a win there. I think we'll do well this season.

I wonder if they still do that Third Eye thing on Soccer Saturday or whatever it's called on Sky?  If they do then that's nailed on to be featured.

From F365's Winners & Losers section:

Tim Sherwood
Honestly, who amongst you assumed that Tim Sherwood would fill his Villa side with Tottenham reserves and 'good lads' from the middle reaches of the Premier League? That he has instead bought in bulk from France like an Englishman preparing for a very boozy party is both refreshing and brave. If this goes right, all vestiges of the Tactics Tim persona can be discarded. If this goes wrong, he may never be seen in the Premier League again.

Picking five new signings on the opening day of the season was a decision that put the pressure firmly on his own head, and the decision was largely vindicated - Jordan Ayew was anonymous and Jordan Veretout was clearly not match-fit, but Idrissa Gueye showed promise and Micah Richards looked solid enough in one game to immediately make himself roughly the fifth-best English centre-half in the Premier League (the competition is not great). As for Jordan Amavi, he is already a hero to a Villa faithful who have been craving a decent left-back after suffering Aly Cissokho, Kieran Richardson and various out-of-position right-backs last season.

Villa did not play particularly well in Bournemouth but Sherwood certainly deserves credit for at least attempting to move Villa out of their depressing rut of relegation campaigns. And we do bloody love a good header so thank you, Tim, for Rudy Gestede. Emmanuel Adabeyor's refusal to move to the Midlands might well become the day that neutrals started to warm a little to Villa again. It's been a while.

That's a pretty accurate summary of the new players' opening day performances

Yep first time I've been and I can't recommend Rhossili highly enough...absolutely breathtaking views from the Worms Head Hotel bar. Also found Three Cliffs Bay which is also beautiful if you like relatively quiet beaches.

Couldn't give a dog's left tit whether neutrals warm to us or not.
