Howe - “It’s a textbook, lower league goal"

It was good enough to beat you.  Eddie.

Oh yeah. Headed goals from corners are very lower league. In fact, it's banned in the CL and World Cup, for being so textbook lower league.

I like Bournemouth, and hope they stay up. But that's a load of crap.
I don't buy into this Bournemouth love-in. They can f**k off where they came from as far as I'm concerned .

Same. I'm already bored of the bastards.

Fair points, but there's hardly any teams left that I don't hate.
That's fair enough.

I'm 13 seasons into a FM game as Bournemouth, so my wanting them to stay up comes from that.

Absolutely no need for negativity. The team, with all their debutants, showed reasonable promise and came back from a tricky away day fixture with three points. Most of the new acquisitions showed potential. Who knows how the team will develop from here? Time will tell and I doubt we are finished in this transfer window. Individually, the French lads all seem to have good ability with the exception of Ayew who would have had problems trapping bags of cement today. There could be the makings of a side there. At least we know Sherwood will let them play with a level of freedom and expression that we have been starved of. F**k you Lamberk, thanks for nothing. C'mon Villa, onwards and upwards.

It's Saturday night. Alcohol is being consumed; what I like about Sherwood is he seems not to be too stubborn and he's willing to learn from his mistakes/recognise when something's not working.

Did Howe mean lower league defending to leave our biggest bloke a free header at a corner?
Or maybe he meant that it was a lower league goal because the defending was actually Sunday pub league standard?

3 points in the bag.
First half was pretty poor, but some good moments in the second.
Highlights from the game are the brill Gestede, Richards/Clark pairing and Gana in midfield already looking a great buy.
This team can only get better, can't wait to see Grealish and Gil thrown into the mix.

And based on today's performance, I wouldn't bother with Lennon, I'd get Albrighton back.

Could have went in 3-0 down at HT. But such is football we won. I feel we will have to wait to November/ December to see this team gel. Do not be surprised to see them go on a run over the New Year and reach survival way before May.

Awful first half.
Richards Clark were very good, I thought Richards showed real leadership.
Gueye got better as the game went on
Amavi is some player, we are going to enjoy watching him this season.
I thought Gabby did well in the second half as he made some powerful runs and stretched them.
That Goal was Andy Lockheadesque, don't care if that is described as lower league, I bloody loved it.
Lets follow that up with a result against the Mancs UTV

Gabby should be used away from home to do exactly that.

Had a text a few seconds after full time which read 'Villa piss on BBC's chips'

We pissed on the whole of the media wankfest that would have unfolded  had Bournemouth won.
No F*cking story at the end of the news for all those lazy f*cking journalists...

Anyone remember that Spitting Image scene when John Craven's News Round and News at Ten swap stories..

Frank the Tortoise has twins , Arnold the singing Turkey is dead, oh yes and the mass murderer who eats his victims,

You get my drift !

It was also just wrong. For all the commentary of "Oh but Bournemouth are playing some lovely stuff" I didnt see that at all. Howes tactics reminded me strongly of the Lambert Tika Taka. Piss about in your own half for ages then lose the ball when trying a rare attack.
