Lamberts a hypocritical bell end, he's probably still in shock at seeing a manager change tactics during a game too positive effect. The dour cock end!

I liked hearing Sherwood talk about the importance of 'imagination' in our play, and that he wants more of it.

I liked hearing him screaming 'movement, more movement' from the touchline during the game.

Me too. I think he clearly wants us to play at a far higher tempo .

Result great, performance dreadful. Will struggle again if that's the true standard of what's to come. I suspect however there will be a gradual improvement with Gil,  Grealish and a new striker to come.

Think Amavi is our best left back since Bouma. Suspect Ayew is a bad un. And Rudy is gonna be very hit n miss.

Sorry to be negative. That's just how I see it.

Fair enough on your opinion but certainly didn't think we were dreadful. I certainly think we were way too cautious in the first half, possibly aimed and dulling their energy which we knew they would come with. We did get a bit lucky a couple of times in the first half, but in the second half we were much, much better. And this lot will get better as they play more. Bournemouth have players that for the most part came up and they have that chemistry that we don't yet. We'll get better and more fluid in the coming weeks.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. The resolute defending in the second half alone probably raises it above 'dreadful' but I can only recall one effort on target. Against  essentially a second division team. Who should've been two up at half time.

Say Rudys header had hit the post. I think the performance would have been criticised to hell on here. Thats kind of what I'm getting at.

Howe - “It’s a textbook, lower league goal"

It was good enough to beat you.  Eddie.

Oh yeah. Headed goals from corners are very lower league. In fact, it's banned in the CL and World Cup, for being so textbook lower league.

I like Bournemouth, and hope they stay up. But that's a load of crap.

A difficult start for us and we had to ride  storm a little, but a well earned win and a great finish from Gestede.  Certainly can take a lot of encouragement from today.

Amused to hear that Setanta had Lambert on and he was criticizing us for playing the ball backwards too much in the first half......,,,,,,,

Blatter talking about the disgrace that was England's World Cup bid - can't remember the exact words.

I'm trying to think of a suitable analogy. Thatcher criticising Cameron's anti-union stance?

Over to you...
Donald Trump referring to one of his Rebulican candidate rivals as a fruit loop or whatever the insult was.

You can quickly go off people.
Maybe he's already lining himself up to be this seasons Nigel Pearson.

I don't buy into this Bournemouth love-in. They can f**k off where they came from as far as I'm concerned .

I swear Mr McParland is looking younger all the time.

That's what I thought. I went to school with 2 of his nephews who are the spitting image of him, and he looks younger than them.
He certainly looks like he's keeping well.
And as someone who knows a bit about burying the odd header, he certainly seemed to appreciate that one.

Fair points, but there's hardly any teams left that I don't hate.

Did Howe mean lower league defending to leave our biggest bloke a free header at a corner?
