Tim can make his own decisions, and without the need to use purple text I might add.

It's a conspiracy to only have people at Villa with 3 letter names. We have Tom and Tim, we had Roy now we have Ray.

Hasn't he just gone back to the job he previously did very well for us?

''Wilkins, who has an extensive contacts book from a 40-year career in football, replaces Kevin MacDonald who will now be responsible for developing homegrown talent.''

That's great news

I think so, or similar, has he taken Bryan Jones' position?
Either way I think it is a positive that high profile, well experienced, coaches are coaching our kids.  With the transfer fees as they are every player, even average ones, will save us a fortune.

We seem to do well in getting players to around U19 but struggle to get them through to even getting an opportunity in the 1st team and that is before becoming regulars.

I think KMac could do a very good job in that role.  Perhaps he has thought himself that he is not up to full management and stepped back down to a level where he gets more out of it.

They're building a strong backroom staff structure, just hope they plan to do the same with the playing staff.

If we're anywhere near the throws of a takeover, you'd have to assume whoever it is approve of these changes.

There are many posts I would like to reference.

Some dubious about Ray and others in support of Ray.

Either way, he's going to be us so when we kick off, I'll keep schtum about him. ;D

...
So why another page of utter drivel?

I'd like to know who this brilliant assistant manager we've got is, because lovely guy though he apparently is, it sure ain't KevMac.

You'd add more credibility to your argument Dave if you added a splash of purple to your posts.

Really depends on why KevMac has changed roles though, was the assistant manager only ever temp until the summer before he went back to the academy?  If that was agreed it seems fair enough.  Given Sherwood's clear focus on bringing through our youth players someone he trusts to deliver in that role is probably just as important as the assistant manager so I don't see this as a demotion, if KevMac is of the same opinion then this is a good move.
