Didn't he used to do the voice overs for those adds, where the orange Tango man would slap people.

Didn't see that coming.  Has a great reputation as a coach in the game.  Only thing is, where does it leave Kevin Macdonald?

We are going to have more coaches than full backs.

Maybe he is Cleverly's replacement. Instead of young and hungry, we have gone old and bald.

All of whom could play better at full back than the full backs themselves. I like Wilkins. He talks a lot of sense and whilst being quite softly spoken he is also  firm in his opinions. he seemed well liked and respected by the Chelsea players.

Wilkins is supposed to be a very good coach.

I actually thought Kevin Mac had been brought in as Sherwood's number two?

I remember hearing him do commentary on Spurs at Inter in the CL a couple of years ago in which he sounded pissed, and kept saying "stay on your feet, stay on your feet" all the time.

That Tango ad with the Felix soundtrack was great - I preferred it to the "slap" advert.

He's got a reputation for liking his drink. And a reputation for driving home when he pissed.

Very pleased to hear this - great move by Tim.  What a contrast to the appointment of Keane by Lambert!

First Kevin Mac and now Wilkins, for me, both very positive and extremely welcome appointments.
