Micah Richards, the 'man' that made Darren Anderton look like an ever-present.

Winston Bogarde had nothing on this guy. When I think back on the horrendous last 7-8 years we have endured, this guy is the poster boy for it. A disgrace of a person, signed by a disgrace of a manager, bankrolled by morons. As a new season is about to begin, a personal plea to Dean to please ensure we never return to those days, and we never sign the like of Micah Richards again. I also hope you're reading this fat boy, sitting in your City shirt. But I doubt it.

He signed a contract offered to him. He saw out a contract that the club offered him. That we had idiots in charge at the time that gave him that contract wasn’t his fault. He shouldn’t have walked away from it. He got injured. Something that if the club did their due diligence on would almost have been deemed inevitable. A disgrace is a player who disrespects the club and fans. To the best of my knowledge Richards never did that publicly. You can question whether he was committed when he did play or if his character was a detriment or not. By all accounts he was a positive influence most of the time.

The bottom line is we should never have signed him. But I don’t begrudge him a penny of a ludicrous contract that was offered to him.

Tragically, there is stiff competition for this accolade. Ireland, N’Zogbia, Lescott, McCormack. Richards does take some beating though.

Nzogbia for me because he wasn’t injured just couldn’t be arsed

I agree with TV: Richards didn't do much, if anything, wrong.  He should never have been signed in the first place.

Like tweeting a picture of your new motor just after you've been beaten 6-0. Or was it 6-1? Anyway around that score.

Definitely my thinking on this.  It was offered and he accepted.  He would have been as mad as those that offered it to him if he'd turned it down.  He's made for life; something most of us can only dream of, more fool Aston Villa.

 ;D

Tbh I agree with TV and Hilts. I'm annoyed at the signing not the player or the man.

Yes I know. I used that example because I don't think Richards was the worst of the bunch.

He was shit. Thank McGrath he was injured or we'd have felt compelled to pick him.

My only crumb of comfort was we didn't pay a transfer fee.
