Which twat gave him such a long contract. Useless. Utterly useless.

Tactics Tim was manager but I suspect the Moneyball dickheads, O'Reilly and Fox, were the culprits for the contract.

Why's that?  He's a long way from the type of player they were focusing on bringing in.

Definitely a Dim Tim solo run. Our guys needed a "character" to gee them up.

in the pantheon of Villa nutsacks. this guy's at the very top.
I'm not sure about that.  I don't like him but I'm sure I heard he turns up week in week out and is willing to play, subject to he knees being ok.

For me N'Zogbia was just about the worst.  All the talent in the world and he just couldn't be arsed.
Charles is definitely up there, although us oldies will always refer to Steve Hodge (not forgetting Charlton's Andy Gray and David Unsworth).

Andy Gray?! A bit harsh. Did you mean Paul Mortimer? Andy Gray was good for us in our promotion season.

Yeah. Don't get that at all. That Andy Gray was always something of a fan favourite, as I recall. I didn't want him to leave.

You mean the ones that never used Moneyball, but used sabermetrics like every other club?

I think he means Mortimer who was a twat. I think N Zogbia has to be up there although Lescott was a proper fuck up too. Basically any of those that created the toxic atmosphere in 2015-16 which was a big contributor to the relegation. Gabby, Richards, Lescott, Guzan etc

Zog and Ireland are probably the mains ones for me as they both had the talent to do so much for us.

At least N'Zogbia tried... occasionally. You always got the impression with Ireland that he considered Villa to be beneath him. He looked pissed off when he signed. He never gave the slightest indication that he gave much of a shit when he played for us.

Ireland seemed to at first, well a few games at least. I remember his first home game and he was making forward passes that we had no one smart enough to be anticipating. And since then he's pretty much spent over 7 years pretending to be a professional footballer. The signs were there of what was important to him when he wanted the club he cared so much about to give him a couple of million to leave. He really is a massive massive twat.

As well as a turd fondler, a fellator of mandrills and a dubious fuckpig of multiplicities.

Good goal at home to QPR, though, which we badly needed as we were up shit creek without a paddle.

You're right - It's coz I'm an oldie!
Gray only actually played for us 37 times over two seasons and showed glimpses of being really good. Mortimer never really 'landed' and played only 11 times for us; he was hankering after Laaaandon almost as soon as he joined us.
