Over here in Belfast I have to take the word of you guys in the Midlands in regards to your local press and radio coverage of the Villa...Jesus, you really were telling the truth. That article is an absolute disgrace - anyone on the same land mass knows that Richards and his buddies from last season are the new poster boys for greedy, out of touch, modern day parasites.
I'm all for giving players second chances, especially if you're paying them ridiculously exorbitant wages (they could at least try to earn their salaries), and I totally disagree with 'bomb squads', but the sheer manner and ineptitude of the performances last season, coupled with the sneering attitudes towards Villa fans for having the audacity to question those performances, for me, dictate that Richards and Agbonlahor should never be near the side again.
We're on a journey back to the top (hopefully) but what happened last year must never be repeated. I really do feel that Villa missed an opportunity in standing up for the fans and the game itself by getting these clowns out the door with great publicity (who in their right minds would employ them after that) or in Gabby's case sack the f**ker after those antics and let the PFA try to defend the indefensible. Either way, he would have been out the door, instead of hanging around like a bad smell and taking dickheads photos with the new signings. I know this is a Richards topic, but they both represent failure at a ridiculous level.
