Just thought I would resurrect this thread because he seems to be getting off relatively lightly after yesterdays showing.

Yes, I don't understand it.  He should be getting pelters from the first whistle to last.  Also, seeing as he was away with Agbonlahor, why isn't he facing any censure from the club?

Absolute waste of space. Pathetic performances from a so called leader.

He was awful yesterday. I know Sanchez was more obviously awful, but time and again Richards was prancing about miles out of position, never had a clue where his man was, and watch his attempted "block" on the first goal. Going through the motions of pretending to defend.

Can't wait for him and his little cretins to fuck off.

Total shot in the dark with the Gabby / Richards thing, but I wonder if Richards asked and got permission to go out of the country and Gabby had not, as club captain they may have had Gabby lined up for certain promotional (Acorns and such like) activities.

But yes Richards is to me one of the most useless and unprofessional players I have encountered in over 45 years of following the Villa. So I hope he gets plenty between now and the end of the season, or better still I hope he gets none because he is not playing and he is not on the bench.

I thought he looked like a right fat twat yesterday. Heavier, fatter and more sluggish than normal.

Once again this gutless tool managed to escape the majority of the crowds displeasure, is his shirt made of teflon. His performance today was shambolic and he wouldn't even come out for the second half, probably suffering from a strained ego, ship the tosser out now.

He was basically crap for 45 minutes but the icing on the cowpat was his effort at defending when Long hit the bar. Later in the first half he tried some of his comical forward surges that ended up nowhere as usual. I bet he refused to come out for the second half.

Richards seemed one of those no-brainer type signers at the start of the season, just what we need right? ::) I'd actually keep him as the Championship does seem about his level, but he needs to step up next season for sure.

Can't we just get someone to drown in the canal? Probably more use as fish food.

He shares the same conditioning coach as Gabby

I don't think I've ever hated a Villa player more than Richards, not even Hodge. He disgusts me. We give Lescott pelters but he's just a knackered old carthorse, a bit thick, who's crap with social media but Richards is just a complete twat. He really doesn't give a shit. A great example today was their second goal where instead of racing back, he casually jogged back. The man is a disgrace. The thought of him being here next season frightens me.

I suspect that him and Agbonlahor have hit it off from day 1 and all that entails.

Yet another odious shitstain on the payroll.  Even if we've got to bung him a million, kick this f##ker out of the club ASAP.

It's critical that the club recognizes it needs to cut ties with certain players to actually start to get out of this mess. We've paid out numerous managers and executives over the past few years but this will be the best money we will spend to eliminate roaches like Agbonlahor and Richards.

With Richards at centre back what is the actual total of goals we have conceded? Who's good at stats? I'd love to know the average goals per game we concede with our captain playing in his preceded position.
