He has been poor, but as long as we could at least 15 matches out of him in the Championship I'd say he might be worth keeping.

Absolutely not. Our biggest problem ahead of a lack of quality is the disgraceful attitude of a decent percentage of the squad. We need to show in no uncertain terms that isn't acceptable. N'Zogbia's gone anyway, Richards needs to be shipped too. Gabby and the remainder can be fired from a cannon.

At first I thought it must be the club briefing Percy to let other clubs know that Richards was available for £5m, but then the phrase 'Cut Price' got stuck in my head. £5m for him isn't 'Cut Price' at any stretch of the imagination, so I can only assume it's come from his agent.

There's so much money coming into the Prem this year, it's likely that someone might feel he's worth a gamble even as back up, which would be at least one saving grace.

Which manager in his right mind wants a trouble maker in the dressing room?

This is where I would normally think it'll be just our luck that he will go on to another club and be great for them, but I just can't see it happening. He's absolute gash.

I thought he was great in his first few games under Sherwood. His last good game though was West Ham away, he was excellent that night.

£5m for a defender with the positional sense of a Labrador is great business.

More interesting is who is talking to the Telegraph because either the club or the players (/their agents) are talking, this stuff isn't appearing by chance.

It's easy to train Labradors though and get them to do what you want them to. Not sure that equates to Richards being like a Labrador. A cat maybe? They just wander wherever they like and won't have anyone tell them what to do.

Is this supposed to be bad news? Can't see anyone paying that kind of money for him. Must be a misprint.

He will end up as another one that we can't shift, even on a free.

Poor technique, poor positional play, undermotivated and overpaid

A fully committed Micah Richards is worth £5M. He was terrific at Man City. But the the whole culture at Villa from top to bottom is a shambles and breeds a couldn't care less attitude amongst many of the players.
