Man City fan here. Pleased that Micah is back in the prem and hope he rediscovers the form he had before his knee injury at the start of the 2012/13 season. He played 30 games in our prem winning season 2011/12 and made 5 assists bombing forward from full back. Just unfortunate for him that Pablo Zabaleta took his chance and never let go of the right back spot.
Prior to Joleon Lescott joining he played centre half for three seasons alongside Richard Dunne or Vincent Kompany. Very quick, a huge leap, reading of the game got better with age.
One downside is his ever present injury niggles, hopefully he can get over these.

Good luck to him and I hope he is a success at Villa Park.

I hope Tim intends to play him at right back, not saying he can't play in the middle but he's very good running the line - as WASPy said.

Nice to have you on here.

So, what now for the Scottish Cafu?

His contract extension looked strange at the time and even more so now

Very much a step in the right direction. Ci£y fans rate him highly which says a lot when you see the talent they've had these past few years.

Sorry but them twats rated Ireland as well, and he was exceptional  :o

lets hope he gets the splinters out of his arse and can produce a bit.

What is wrong with competition in positions? Something we have moaned about in the past. Great free signing. NEXT!

I think the New Bomb Squad awaits, he will have plenty of company.

Good signing for the small risk involved. I just get the feeling that behind the scenes there really is a deal in the making and we will get good new owners, Delph signing, Richards being attracted, it wouldn't happen without a brighter future next season would it?

Reported £65k a week 4 years. £13m then.

Thought it was a free ;)

I get the feeling that some people would rather we pay £15-20k a week for more Bennetts and Lowtons. Get over it! £65k a week is the going rate if you want to up the class of your squad. Ffs Rooney is on £250k a week!

Really good signing this, I think. He's a good player and easily better than some of those we have.

I remember him predominantly as a right-back but I'm pretty sure i've seen him do well at centre-back too. If we do end up playing him and Okore together at centre-back, that's a pretty rapid pair of defenders which could come in handy. If we play three of them, then he, Okore and Clark would be pretty solid too.

Good start to business.
