I concur, if sherwood is dicked about in the next few weeks he will walk out, and he'd be right to.

Is there any indication that he is going to be 'dicked about'

No.  He came here and I assume he discussed next season before taking the job.  I do not take him as a manager that would take a job for the sake of it.

People just try and create hypothetical situations for some reason just for the sake of it. There's no reason at all to think that he will walk away.

Based on last summer, yes.

What happened last summer?
I know what you did last summer  :D
Budget £7m

Would he have taken the job if he knew he had next to nothing to spend?

I spent much of the day with some lovely people from here.

So to Risso and his beautiful, incredibly well-mannered kids, DW, Amfy, Coops, cheltenhamlion, lsvilla and his lovely wife - thanks for the good company.

No Europa League.

Hopefully, lessons learned by people with the power to change things.

Main positive was meeting sammy Morgan before the game who was a lovely bloke.

Also pleased that sherwood has to now realise the scale of the task he faces. No papering over cracks

Loved the passion of the Villa supporters

Feel guilty I was unable to say a word to Dave Woodhall after game as too upset. He rightly said we were  "abysmal"

I couldn't get through Abide With Me. We had it at my granddad's funeral, and i always promised him we'd go to a Cup Final together. The fact there was an empty seat next to me - completely randomly in a sellout game - made me feel like maybe he made it after all.

That sounds absolutely incredible and a moment you will remember for a long time afterwards. I'm just sorry for you and all of us that it was not the result you would have wanted.

I found out today that my Grandad ( long gone) went to the 57 cup Final. He carried on supporting for the next 30 - odd years, always hoping for a replay!

6'2", eyes of blue, Sammy Morgan is after you.  Now those were two FA Cup ties against Arsenal.  I bet Bob Wilson had nightmares for years after.

I take comfort from the fact that more Villa fans were at the quarters and the semi, and hope that the kids especially remember those days long after they've forgotten about yesterday.

I meant it as a positive in that he will have money to spend.  Considering it meant so much to stay in the PL because of the TV money, there is very little talk about this now.  I now everybody is down but talk of minimal money plus anything for Benteke is negative in the extreme.

Regarding your 'hypothetical situations', aren't most comments on this site based on 'what if'.

The ground seemed pretty much 50/50 to me.

I think he means total of Villa fans at quarter plus semi final > number of villa fans at the debacle yesterday.

I wouldn't count on it Perce.  This is the same lot who not only didn't sack lambert at the end of last seasons debacle but went the whole hog and gave him a four year deal after four games this season.

Positives - I don't live in wembley, Northolt or Greenford.
Harrow on the Hill is quite nice though.
