Randy was there to witness what a load of shit he's forced upon us and what loyal fans we are

That would only be a positive if there was some evidence that he will give a flying one about that.

I couldn't get through Abide With Me. We had it at my granddad's funeral, and i always promised him we'd go to a Cup Final together. The fact there was an empty seat next to me - completely randomly in a sellout game - made me feel like maybe he made it after all.

It can't get any worse now, can it...? Potential new ownership, a proactive manger, I'm as confident as a villa fan can be that this season is as bad as it is going to get. I think...

A genuine positive was a great day out with my old man and brothers, we usually just meet in the ground for home games and don't do much away, so to sit in the sunshine for a few hours, talk villa and have a few beers was worth the shit game.

Oh, and I'll hopefully never again have to sit next to the mouthy, pissed up angry wankers calling themselves fans that added an extra hint of shite to an already dreadful match. To think language and threats like they were spouting around kids was pathetic.

530pm really is a horrid time to start a football match, I'd prefer a night final to 530 if we can't have 3pm.

Squad shown up for what it is - poor.

No papering over cracks, this is a massive rebuild if we want to get into the top half of the table and stay there.  I would not be surprised to see Sherwood walking out if he is not given serious money and the remit to overhaul the squad.

I got home early. Saved the expense of booking fees by going into London to buy some theatre tickets (whilst deliberately ignoring transport costs, but geez do booking/admin fees make me mad).

I concur, if sherwood is dicked about in the next few weeks he will walk out, and he'd be right to.

Is there any indication that he is going to be 'dicked about'

I would hope he negotiated some idea of the budget he's got when he took the job. Plus (probably) £32.5 million minimum for Benteke.

No.  He came here and I assume he discussed next season before taking the job.  I do not take him as a manager that would take a job for the sake of it.
